Growing up in southern MD in the 70s and 80s, I remember day trips to the Smithsonian museums (Art, Natural and American History, Air & Space), the memorials around Capitol Hill (pre-Vietnam-Wall), Mount Vernon, and (in HS) a couple of multi-day trips to Colonial Williamsburg.

Status report, "#StarfleetAcademy " dep't: Taking a little time (while I hunt around the kitchen for some things) to review s1e9 and s1e10, first viewed last night. Overall series 1 assessment: Some bumps, and various things I'd have done differently, but entirely satisfyiing at series's end. (1/2)

It was a *really* strong first season (no matter what the haters say). I don't think it quite hit the same mark as SNW S1 for me, but it's a strong second place and I'm excited for S2 whenever we get it (and, hopefully, renewal beyond that).
