Just finished a Breaking Bad rewatch for the umpteenth time

Never fails to shock me that the entire 5 seasons take place over a period of just two years

Film Review – Thrash Image via IMDb I love me a shark film. Serious or comedic, I love em all for different reasons. This one made itself so hard to love at times.

Film Review - Thrash

There’s an extra letter in this title…

Can’t recommend picking this one up any higher, a quick but intense read, does an awful lot with a tried and tested sub-genre and will have you revel in the gore whilst sobbing wildly with equal effect

I had the same reactions seeing this as I do checking my All Time stats on Letterboxd…”Wait, him?” “She was in THAT?” 🤣

First two episodes a great setup, man it really is one of the best shows of this century

Please let Frenchie and Kimiko ride off into the sunset. I can’t deal with anything other than that

Book Review – Beneath Image via StoryGraph Tense, then intense. Shocking and then finally “Wait, what?” This is a book, and author, that absolutely needs to make its way to your TBR as soon as possible. I had no idea wh…

A taut, tense underground thriller with fantastic pacing

Book Review – Killarney Lake Massacre Image via NetGalley A zany, extremely topical take on the slasher tropes, with a heavy dose of Indian culture and immigrant life in Canada. That sentence ranks as one of the more grounded ones I ca…

Book Review - Killarney Lake Massacre

Certainly not a book you’d accuse of being vanilla, that’s for sure

One season without any - intentional or not - social media embarrassment. I’m not asking for much.

I go by “anything over 2 is recommendable in some way”

2.5 - Not for me but probably for some, so the weakest recommendation
3 - Good but wasted potential or, most often, a sequel that fell short
3.5 - Really good, maybe ran too long or lost direction at times
4 - The highest I give most films

Why are the Czechian team terrible at Valentines?

They don’t get cards

Boom, nailed it

You’d swear it took Czechia 70 minutes to realise this game matters

Insert extremely witty Czechia and Hallmark related joke here

Finally finished Andor this week and also did a quick half rewatch of Obi Wan

Andor - Yes, undoubtedly the best D+ Star Wars content so far, though I will say it suffers that same affliction of saying something in 24 episodes it could’ve said in 18/20

Obi Wan - See above

Film Review - Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

A better finale than film but a fine ending for a great show all the same

This absolute gem is leaving Prime in 2 weeks apparently. What better film to watch under a time constraint?

Finished it. So it really is just the en masse protests of infantile Star Wars fans that has The Acolyte so poorly rated then?

A perfectly acceptable, at times great and just slightly too long Star Wars show

I’m on the second last episode and so far my only notable complaint is that like a lot of shows, it tells a 6 episode story in 8
