Any Intel Mac Pro between 2006-2012 would’ve also got my vote. My 2006 was my favorite Mac I owned & wasn’t absurdly expensive; I upgraded nearly every component & even replaced a faulty mobo myself, like a PC

I like that they added 4TB storage option and 32GB RAM option is good too. For my non-work laptop I don’t need more CPU / GPU power than Air provides but would love to store all my data on the internal storage. $2700 for top end configuration is a lot but not insane. Hoping for 8TB with M6 Air.

Can’t use MacBook’s built in mics (or camera) without it open and some Air models will throttle. Also Touch ID. I do use my M3 Air clamshelled for dual externals because I have to, but I don’t do meetings on it & don’t need much power & I unlock with Watch. But my work M4 Max MBP is always open.

Don’t see anything weird except the keyboard and that’s a normal kind of weird that I understand
