💯 We lived in Farley Bank. I do have a soft spot for the pirate town attitude though
I'm from Hastings/St Leonard's and give similar advice to Londonders thinking of moving there because they went to the Old Town in the summer.
Is the local tide turning against reform? (Headline you won't read anywhere)
Depressing news on this sunny London day
Oddly not promoted on Backyard Comedy Club website, can't imagine the Bethnal Green locals would be that into hate mongery backyardcomedyclub.co.uk
Sold out in Manchester and London, depressing
A Labour leader in opposition would be shredded by media for behaving the way Badenoch, Farage & Polanski have on Iran and got no credit from anyone for standing with Government of the day on issues of national security and defence.
Totally this. Me at 14, hanging at in arcades and drinking Thunderbird on Hastings seafront. My 14yr old, going to Warhammer World for the day with his mates

Black sculpture of a dancer
Another dystopian Sunday in the London hellscape. Volunteered at junior Parkrun and athletics club, muddy 10km along the river path. Caught Wayne McGregor exhibition on dance & tech at Somerset House, and bumped into fans star-spotting BAFTA red carpet, then watched the show at home.
Finally saw Sinners, sold out show at @princecharlescinema.com, on all next week princecharlescinema.com/film/3161711...
Today would be a good day to look out for bad news being buried
I worry about the Lib Dems (someone has to). My armchair take is that the Tories benefit and Labour loses when the Lib Dems do badly
Just define every UK resident that earns money through social media posting an employee or subcontractor of the platform owner - the employer/contractor becomes responsible for, and has to insure themselves against, ensuring they adhere to national laws, including tax law. Job done
This 💯 + Parkrun
Page of an article on the subject in the RSA journal
The RSA ran a competition that led to the invention of a chimney sweeping tool in 1805, the sweepers guild and industry fought it and it took 70 years until sending children up chimneys was properly banned and enforced. Change can be bloody slow
Hammersmith Bridge
Train crossing on dark
View of London lights from Richmond Park in the dark
Even chanced the mean streets of Hammersmith, Barnes and Richmond Park after curfew
Pedestrianised London street
Thameside view
Prince Albert bridge, closed to traffic
V&A cafe
First sunny day in 3 weeks so cycled for a proper look around the V&A in the 'unsafe' hellhole of London, after a chatty Parkrun with local running club friends. Busy & buzzing with a whiff of Spring. Only unsafe thing - cars and their drivers.
Thought for the day
I was able to explain to my 11 year old in 30 seconds why the Ukrainian athlete can't slide with a helmet with a political statement on it. It's pretty straightforward, a child can understand it, but I haven't heard the very simple reason explained in any media (or social media)
Just going to leave this here
Looks like they gave a speech somewhere else
So when they said 'watch this space' they meant a different space
Post from Lib Dems saying Major Announcement with picture and name of Daisy Cooper Feb 11 9AM
Good new training resource from @libdems.org.uk for all the Comms people -pre-announcing a 'MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT' at a specific time & place, that you then don't make
A very muddy path with a flag marking the course
Injured so can't run - next best thing marshalling the Surrey League final. Bloody love cross country

Starmer plan. Be angry. Turn it to action: sack anyone who advised his appointment; Police investigate any UK citizen in the files and take swift action on crimes; mandate no public contracts with companies or individuals names in files; commit to cleaning up power; protect women and girls today
