That all my emergency supplies are specifically made to conceal my whereabouts from anyone looking for me. It makes me think the safest, most practical people are actually the ones who hoard bright flashing holiday decorations that light up and sing annoying overly happy jingles
You know, why the hell is it a thing that 72 hour emergency survival kits come in camouflage. Like imagine thinking you were thank God I bought this kit, I have three whole days left to where I can survive a disaster before I have to worry about not being rescued yet, and it's so cool
They’re too busy lobbying Congress for more tax cuts. 🫤
🧵 Sir Ian ‘Gandalf’ McKellen is probably the most internationally loved trans advocate. Yet again he is showing he cares. Support from celebrities is influential in changing minds. Especially when they are daecent skins! I’ve attached a series of memes of such trans supporters! [1]
Socialism is what they called public power.
Socialism is what they called social security.
Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.
Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Bravo! 👏
More of this, please.
Canadians are generally so humble we actually think we can’t do great things.
Reality is we’re the 9th largest economy in the world with only 41 million people. We already do great things.

breakdown not due to a victory of hate, but of a failure to reach each other, to conflict resolve, out of a need to exit toxicity and resentment.... sad to me
communication is the only way to maintain and build relationships, and resentment is a sure sign of the collapse of a relationship's ability to communicate, and the real risk is a complete trust spiral. and its tragic that a bad situation could breakdown
the suffering, then number of unsolvable problems, the dream of a more united, more just, more equitable world that facilitates the ability of humans to come to each others aid, every generations heads foreward parralell with this gap, and this ineptitude, that is maintained by resentment.
by waiting white nationalists who use the gap and the cultural shock to promote all kinds of racist, hateful, supremacy, and victim narratives. and another generation of black people will, understandibly suffer, and others will try to be changed, but without genuine tools in society to reduce
extra burdens that they carry around for no reason they are responsible for, and that we will just end up with a less hateful gap. this sucks a lot, because it breeds another generation of ignorance that when it hits this gap and feel the push back, to a certain percentage, that gap will be filled
Im just... sad that the hole has gotten deeper. I see smart ppl,i see people in pain, I see their art and humor, but my support provides seemingly nothing, it makes me feel impotent. and it is definetly hard to stay hopeful that we can heal in a way that unburdens somewhat black people from the
thats as informed and unselfish as I can possibly be. but unlike before, these attempts at being the person who isnt just passively not racist, but aggressively anti racist and pro change, I somehow, cant find a way out of a ditch i did not dig. and I do not need anything from the black community
I see their decisions are smart here. and Empathetically, I understand and wholly hold space for the emotions born from suffering. but I just cant make a dent, like personally. every interaction since leaving the military with black people around me, my attempts to show respect and take a position
you know, just my personal story, but as my life has gone on, even as I have grown more and ever more knowlegable and humble about how much I dont experience, but somehow it feels like the gap between myself and black people, specifically. and i just wanted to say it makes me sad, like Strategically
30 oct of ppl are just ppl who are weak to believing what they are told uncrittically, cuz in a system that only give authority to ppl who own things, its possible to get by if you obey instead of decide, so confidence convinces. Less logos more pathos and ethos
A lot of great people doing important work just lost their jobs because the most destructive, bigoted, willfully ignorant people in the world have targeted them. Here's what you can do to support yourself or anyone you know who lost a job. Please add your own advice at the end of the thread <1/n>
