Yes! Exactly! I just want them competent, decent and trustworthy. That's it. They're here to do a job and I genuinely don't give a shit about any of the extraneous relatability minutiae.
It was literal front page news, as I recall
I'm so sorry that happened to you. It goes 1 of 2 ways right? Either you want to protect others from having to deal with it too or you get petty, decide it's a rite of passage and inflict the nasty bullshit on people yourself
It's bewildering to me just how many people have this mindset in general. The "I've paid my dues and endured hardship and now my reward is in being able to perpetuate that hardship onto the next generation" mindset
For my wife and I that might actually be somewhat helpful. Our front door is directly on the street and residents have to compete with shoppers for parking. We've been carless for years because my wife wants an EV but options are very limited for charging the thing
Oh god I love going to bed. I spend a not insignificant portion of my day counting down the hours until I can reasonably say "well, probably time to hit the sack" and then go be unconscious for a bit
I wish you nothing but the best for the future, take care and good luck
That's a watermill. You can tell on account of the water 😂
Incidentally, I fucking love that film. I thought I'd fever-dreamed it because I had to do an animation degree to find anyone else who remembered it.
My dad is 5'7". 1 of my exes was 5'6". 2 of my closest male friends are 5'8" and 5'3". All are cis men. Rosie Duffield is being damn weird again
This is so lovely. I can already tell I'm going to love this
Yup. "Above my pay grade and beneath my interest" is how I feel about a lot of things
Mayo No Kids
This is very helpful actually thank you
Absolutely. I have lived on beans on toast for a significant portion of my life for the simple reason that 2 slices of bread and a tin of beans is a very easy and cheap source of protein that I've had reliable access to over the years.
Same. I just don't have the space to hold onto loads of books so I mostly stick to ebook and then occasionally splurge for really beautiful hardbacks that please me to look at
My gut reaction would be "haha fuck no". My official statement would be "regrettably, I must decline your bollockry. Eat shit forever, fucko"
If you see this, QTP with your favorite fire type pokemon 🔥
My wife absolutely loves Wandering Inn. She got the audiobooks on Audible
This is certainly what I do. If only to take out the guesswork of deciding whether it's warranted or not
2 posts by Chris Manners @cjmanners06.bsky.social The talk about suicide by some trans advocates is deeply irresponsible. Puberty blockers were banned on medical advice by the Commission for Human Medicines.
Cut down *where*?! The cost of living has been soaring for years and loads of us have already been trimming our outgoings the whole time to try to keep up with it. There's so little slack left. If Labour try to tell us to tighten our belts now, there will be riots. I'm only half joking
Good luck! Played the demo and then bought the game last night. Looking forward to getting stuck in
He wishes he had the charisma of an alien that farts helium
I'm just going to assume that "Rygel" is a Farscape reference. Please don't disabuse me of this notion
I so miss being able to *slightly* upgrade my computer without remortgaging my house 😭
We trained our dog to patiently wait in his bed while we eat meals and he'd get a treat afterwards. Over the years the little criminal has shifted it so he no longer goes to bed and he expects a treat any time we eat anything. He's so old now it seems more hassle than it's worth to shift it back lol
We got one of their sheds and I was worried because several reviews complained it was hard to put together. My conclusion is that 2 people with power tools are frankly necessary and the instructions did not describe (in my opinion) the optimal order to do things, so we made up our own process
I dimly recall some legal case hinging on this stuff being characterised as a belief and being explicitly protected due to that status... but in the legislation, the right to hold a belief is given equal weight to the right to *not* hold it. And yet, as you say, said belief is being imposed upon us
Christ, that's so sad and petty. I have not been paying the attention to her that I probably should have, given that she's been a rich seam of bilge for (apparently) a really, really long time
