I recently became a board member of my local library and I’m so honored. 🙏

Hold on to your head.
Hold on to the light.
Keep your eyes on the light.
Storms can be beautiful too, because look what they create.
We are in a moment that will guide.
We will be a light in how we lean in to this.

I picked up books that changed me then in order to be changed again, in this moment… I sat and I stared because it calmed me. It healed me for a little bit… knowing that there is always something to hold on to.

I sat and stared. I ran my hand down so many books spines, felt my fingers tingle (IFYKYK), grabbed some books from authors who have been banned, from authors I admire, from books I read in their original German language during my undergrad…

I found comfort yesterday using my lunch break to see my card proof and then visit the used book store. I sat and stared at books of stories about movements, emotions, loss, grief, philosophy, optimism, struggle, and power…
