Tonepoet prices are insane. They do usually release those versions on (cheaper but still pricey) cd eventually. Finally the Tonepoet cd of Dance with Death this evening and it sounds lovely.

Dylan’s album ‘Tempest’ reminds me of The Fall. Repetitive, hypnotic, screeds of lyrics, unique voice.

Here’s a good song about just that.
I was six. Never recovered.
Get well soon!
Good, kill it
Congrats Fliss, looking forward to my first listen 🎈
Would definitely have liked to see some more FTB. Looking forward to your take on Rogue though.
Sorry to hear that. Positive vibes to all and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The audio quality of your recording set up made the word ‘baboon’ sound magnificent. Also, great great episode.
Best place to start is jumping in and buying it weekly!
Yeah, I don’t think they’re still active. Seem to remember some of them had other projects on the go? I saw them supporting Rob Crow at Stereo and Mr Crow was digging them himself. They were just genuinely off the wall and unusual! Still annoyed I missed out on a physical copy of the album.
This lot were great live.
Horrified by news of our friend & fellow bookseller Mahmoud being arrested by Israeli forces alongside his nephew.
A tireless campaigner for the power of literature, Mahmoud was in Edinburgh with us just months ago - please join call for their release!

There’s loads of good Gilbert stuff but I have to admit I find some of his most recent work somewhat baffling. He’s clearly following his very unique muse and there is some wild, weird and enjoyable stuff but I do miss the Palomar era, which is just gold. Anyway, enjoy!
The Love Bunglers is SO good. New collection from Jaime is out very soon - this month or next!
That’s a shame, it’s terrific; a surreal and tense adventure
with great characters.
Looking forward to Full Tilt Boogie 3 starting this week by the way!
The Motherless Oven by Rob Davis. Wild and captivating, can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy.
The 2000AD one certainly creates an impressive vista.

Yep, Guera is great on JD! Looking forward to more from you two.
Dermot Power did a Star Trek cover in the 90s.
When the minutiae of all our lives have been digitally catalogued for decades, with the detail available for exploitation by any old media oligarch with a hard-on for power, it's hardly surprising that naturally self-serving, inevitably vulnerable politicians are backed-down with scarce a whimper.
🍻Merry Christmas Fliss. All the best for 2025!
It’ll be grand! Unrelated but a friend just asked me to send this on to you:
Please pass on the message that me and my sister torment each other and my parents with his Christmas songs. He enables me to do what I do best at this time of year. Trolling.
