Head to Shake Shack in Burbank ANYTIME this Wednesday, tell 'em you're there for Leadership Burbank's New Day Laundry fundraiser and 25% of the proceeds of whatever you buy will be donated to our project for The Salvation Army! It's like giving...but you get something! (burgers, shakes, and fries!)

Susan wrote a book! And it's great! Also, I read a book! Here are dates to keep in mind:
- Given the title, it releases on Earth Day (next Wed., 4/22 - paperback, hard cover, e-book AND audiobook!).
- Want it signed? Wait and buy it on April 26th - author signing in Pasadena! Details in the pic.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. There are literally a thousand laughs in BEVERLY HILLS at The Kirk Douglas Theatre. Entertainment writer Michael Ausiello wrote over 500 episodes of a soap opera when he was thirteen and now all-star casts are performing them with no rehearsal. Not to be missed!

Last night I went to the best and biggest No Kings rally yet!
I volunteered at Bite of Reality, which teaches high schoolers how to manage spending by visiting tables where they gather costs, add 'em up & try and stay on budget. There's housing, food, entertainment, and more, including where they had me positioned - KID CARE. ME. I told 'em to get a vasectomy.
Who runs this nonsense at The Movie Guys? The newspaper The Burbank Bla Bla has your answer! Check out their full profile on Paul Preston here (page 11):

Last night at the Dolby Theatre was special: PaleyFest fan event for SHRINKING. Not only did I share air w/Harrison Ford, but there was a surprise appearance by Michael J. Fox and screening of the season 3 finale. A lot of breath taken away, a lot of tears.
Also Indiana Jones hugging Marty McFly
As an Angels fan, I'll take whatever good news I can get, but this is amazing!

Hard to believe, but Susan and I met SIX YEARS ago! To celebrate, we hit up Hollywood's oldest (and classiest!) restaurant, the great Musso & Frank Grill. Because, love...also movies.
If you're interested in donating to the Leadership Burbank project I'm part of where we'll be providing a trailer to The Salvation Army with mobile laundry services for those in need, you might also be thinking, "But Paul, I gotta eat!"
We've combined those things for you!
Turns out there's a BEE MUSEUM in Burbank. A legit beekeeper opened a clothing shop and decided to fill half the store with bee facts and figures, jewelry, and more. Walked with some honey made by bees working on Burbank flowers so you know it'll be sweeeeet.
Another WONDERCON in the books! All manner of nerd-dom and beyond to behold. Highlight for me - hosting the stunt performer panel. My buddy Jeff Victor has awesome art work (a Han Solo piece hangs in my office...no surprise). And my friend Craig and I went to a SEND HELP escape room - SOLVED IT.
Going to Wonder-Con? Let me convince you to attend one of the most consistently entertaining panels around - the stunt performer's panel! I'll be hosting a great group of people who really LIKE each other. It's weird. It's also a blast. Stay late on Saturday - it'll be worth it!
Our #LeadershipBurbank goal of providing a trailer to The Salvation Army for mobile laundry services has caught the eye of Emily Swallow, who plays The Armorer on #TheMandalorian ! She says to donate and support our project. She's right...#ThisisTheWay

Did you know the Buffalo Sabres are good? Like, first place good? Like, without Dominik Hasek and Pat LaFontaine. Crazy. They played a close two periods against the Kings, then ran away with it in the third. Regardless, any game, and any birthday, is good with these hooligans.
Now that would just mean I hate myself...! I'm sure that's a steaming pile. If you saw it for me, I'll just call that a birthday gift and thank you.
I hosted a Bad Movie Night on my birthday. I wasn't sure if ABDUCTION would be bad and thank the gods - it's terrible! But GOOD terrible, you know? Most bad movies I'm recommended are just hate-yourself AWFUL, but ABDUCTION was GOOD bad, and pretty much it for Taylor Lautner movies you've heard of.
Finally got a hike in out at Hansen Dam! Not sure why we waited until it was 87 degrees, but it was a great workout with awesome views. My favorite is the bottom right pic, the same view Bill Paxton had as Arnold hung him over the dam in TRUE LIES! MOVIES!
Who doesn't like a mixer?! We've got one coming up for my ongoing involvement with Leadership Burbank. This is a fundraiser to help our project to provide a trailer to the Salvation Army for laundry services for people in need. Scan the flyer to join us and read all the details!
My buddy Adam and I are doing a podcast of all Harrison Ford movies, going chronologically through his IMDB page(s). Also, this is happening slowly, BUT we have a new episode and it's the most fun you can have with PATRIOT GAMES outside of the movie itself! ENJOY

It was another great night at Charlotte's Open Moose Mic! Singers sang, pennywhistlers pennywhistled, and I comedied it up! AND sang! The next one will be April 13th (a Monday!) at the Wisteria Theatre in North Hollywood and there's room for all.
Some incredible movie costumes and props are going up for auction, but before you can buy them ('cause I can't - WAY TOO PRICEY), they were on display at an event in Beverly Hills. Twist our arm as Movie Guys to check out all this stuff from our childhood. Plus, free drinks, so....
It's Oscar week and I've got another movie article to share. This one's about the term "popcorn movie". Let's stop saying it. There are numerous reasons it's dumb. Start at page twelve and read on!

Boy, did we need a beach day, so we cashed that in last Saturday. SoCal is awesome 'cause, 20+ years on, there are still beaches I haven't explored. This was one of them - Sycamore Cove in Malibu.
Reading on the beach. #SimplePleasures
The beach was a gorgeous mix of sandy beach and rocky shore.
We finally made it out to the oldest Mexican restaurant in L.A. - Mijares! A hundred and twenty years old and it didn't disappoint - those veggies were marinated in AWESOME SAUCE and the vibe was classic. It's also a huge venue AND was packed on a Friday night. Consider it recommended.
Every time I go to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, there are new things to see. The latest: a whole exhibit on Studio Ghibli's PONYO, some MCU props and costumes in the sci-fi/fantasy wing, and a photo op with a (replica) desk from THE GODFATHER. Go check it out because, movies!
I'm part of the current class of Leadership Burbank and proud to announce our class project!: New Day Laundry, a mobile laundry solution providing free, dependable laundry services for individuals & families in need.
