Conservatives love to say it’s not guns, it’s “mental health.” They’re half-right: it’s both. But here’s the thing—radicalized right-wingers get weapons of war because capitalism makes them available. Until the GOP backs healthcare & mental health reform, I don’t want to hear it. IT’S THE GUNS.

So, why should you care? Political violence is never okay. Neither is gun violence. But this is a problem for Republicans to solve. The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, grew up in a conservative home w/ access to weapons of war. Like most mass shooters in 20 yrs: white men.

He wouldn’t have cried over his own death or demanded reform. He once said:

“It’s worth some gun deaths every year so we can have the 2nd Amendment.”

Closing thought: Kirk was a man who wouldn’t have lost sleep if I was shot in school or stoned in a hate crime. He might’ve celebrated it.

But if it’s not Fox or the Post, they cry “fake news.” Why trust facts when fiction works?

That’s why I’m proud to be a Democrat: the party of empathy & love. Unlike Republicans. Unlike Kirk, who once said:

“I can’t stand empathy… I think it’s a made up new age term that does harm.”

Humans are selfish. I am too. In an emergency, I’d focus on myself first.

Voting is no different—it takes real empathy to vote beyond your own issues.
