An underpainting about 1/4 finished using raw umber and titanium white on 18x24 linen. The subject is a pop punk band, The Dollyrots. For those who follow me, I’m juggling 3 paintings mainly due to ADHD but it helps to have different pieces to work on when one is giving me problems.

Working through the underpainting. I’m hoping to solve a good portion of problems or issues in this stage. Does it slow me down? Maybe. The color stage goes faster because of this work now. #art #oilpainting
