Oh man - I’d love to pick my kids up from school in that. I’m jealous you have a literal Kei dealership; My state is pretty vague-to-hostile on them, so I watch bringatrailer.com and fantasize. Nice find!

I am not recommending a better scheduling and orchestration mechanism for a shared resource.

But it crossed my mind.

The bat marquetry lid is great! What species are mixed in there?

I’m definitely not creeping on the equipment and workspace in the background. Very cool work!

I’ve heard of people using a drill press for this. Every one has a bench-top drill press on their nightstand, right?

This looks great :) hope it’s not hidden behind a grill, it’s too pretty.

Heh - laminating stacks of laminates. I love it. Is that Europly or ApplePly or Baltic or some other brand? Did you kerf the curve or cut a bunch of corner pieces? What’s the plan for finish?

Sorry for all the questions. Plywood is my passion :). This piece is awesome.

Nice work! And the lighting makes it all the better. Very cool.

Love the grain and wood contrasts on the legs. Very cool!

Very cool - I just got the scoring blade festool saw about 6 weeks ago - much cleaner plywood cross cuts. Needed to use dedicated tracks between saws - the scoring saw has a different blade offset and leaves a different width on the splinterguard. Enjoy the new equipment! Post pics!

Woodworking has improved; I found some good stuff here: bsky.app/hashtag/wood... and then following who they follow.

Good luck with your walnut =)

If js-but-better is on the table, I like both Astro.js and Deno. Both are typescript based. Deno is lower level and fun and you can (optionally) actually build an exe with it, Astro is a well designed approach to SSG with nice adapters for .md

This is great! It looks like a floor lamp — I’m curious the scale or how tall it is. Nice work and thoughtful details.

Probably a dumb question, but is there any legit route or service for buying a reproduction of this cover I could give as a gift to a friend? (One guess as to their pup’s name)

These spoons are fantastic (this and many others you posted). How would you get sharper edges on the dots? Different tape or a different tool for cutting the circles?

Looks like you checked off both requirements from the post-ii — Those legs look great!

Tell me there’s going to be a tusk tenon with a tapered wedge or some other exposed joinery on the leg stretcher. Or more pics.
Really nice work. :)

Fantastic detail! How much is natural and how much is stained? That red really pops.

Nice! A simple technique repeated in an interesting way and it’s super approachable!
