All the political players are in Atlantic City this week, and so is our message! New Jersey is facing a fiscal crisis and we can’t afford to wait. Raising progressive revenue from billionaires is fair, sustainable, and popular!

Liberalism isn't sufficient in our political climate; It must be Democratic Socialism. Contrary to what the corporate wing of the Democratic Party would have you believe, socialists can win. This is possible.

A Better World Is Possible.

Mamdani has built a multi-cultural, -racial & -religious coalition w a simple & hopeful economic message of housing affordability, free childcare, experimental public grocery stores in food deserts & increasing the min wage. It wasn't just a hopeful message, it was one based on calculated economics.

Mamdani on the other hand has re-energized blocs that Democrats have been losing, such as men, black and brown workers, and the general working class. Democrats also can't just match Mamdani's campaign aesthetic and vibes; Mamdani's policies are the vibes, they are what won.

The Dem Party has hemorrhaged support from the working class, black/brown communities & immigrant communities. The Geriatric Old Guard sold us out to monied interests & gave us Do-Nothing Dems like Biden, Schumer & Jeffries. They have given us nothing. They have given Rep easy wins by rolling over

A Democratic Socialist will be Mayor of the largest US city

Zohran Mamdani is showing us & the Dem Party how to win elections & the hearts & minds of the diverse American working class. The Dem Estab. endorsed Sex Pest Cuomo w the same corrupt wealth that handed Trump a 2nd disastrous Presidency

Baraka brandishes internal poll that has him tied with Sherrill - New Jersey Globe An internal poll from Newark Mayor Ras Baraka’s campaign shows a statistical dead heat in the race for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, with Rep.

“[Baraka] hasn’t spent nearly as much as other candidates, which shows that his support is authentic, and his message is resonating. Ras is the Democrat voters trust to fight for their values — and this is just the beginning,” campaign spokesman Kabir Moss stated.

'Do something, dammit!': Tim Walz says Democrats need to answer Americans' 'primal scream' Tim Walz held a town hall in Des Moines as he tours swing districts where vulnerable Republicans are not holding public town halls of their own.

“To the crowd, Walz was encouraging, saying their anger is justified.

‘The road to authoritarianism is littered with people telling you you’re overreacting,’ he said. ‘You’re not.’” www.yahoo.com/news/somethi...

Cool so what happens if GOP attach a national abortion ban to a CR? You'll vote for that too?

Good on the Senate Democrats for saying this

As Baraka has correctly and unapologetically said on the campaign trail: "You can't fight extremism with moderation!"

I am excited to support Baraka's campaign for NJ Governor from the capital county!

A proudly progressive mayor running for NJ governor could be getting an unlikely boost from Trump Newark’s Ras Baraka is taking on the Trump administration, polling well and seeing enthusiasm with Democrats.

His repeated attacks on Trump and Trump’s policies — especially moves on immigration — appear to be buoying Baraka’s candidacy. And Baraka thinks that’s proof other members of his party are approaching the Trump era all wrong. @rasjbaraka.bsky.social

No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans Rep. Richard Hudson issued the edict after a spate of testy episodes.

As comically evil as Republicans are, they very much hate and detest the regular human being. And their distaste is extremely real and harmful. They run away from people because they do not want to be held accountable for intentionally making all of our lives worse.

Apparently the reason the left "always loses" is because some of us are annoying and put people off. The far-right, of course, are a bunch of cool chill guys that are fun and normal 24/7.

This is weaseling and anyone defending this also stands for nothing. Get these middling moderates out of power and influence

These are slumdunk questions that she opted out of answering. Sherrill does this not for the sake of nuance, but because if she doesn't commit anything to the NJ working class, she doesn't have to "break" a commitment.

Only cowardly moderates stand for nothing. She can't be gov.

Even the article says he agrees with congestion pricing. He's against NY's unilateral implementation of the plan and wants regional cooperation of the pricing. That's not incorrect. As a planner, regional planning and intergovernmental and interagency cooperation isn't new and is encouraged

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Baraka isnt opposed to congestion pricing though. He is in favor of it. He even pointed out its benefits at the debate -reduces CO2 emissions & pollutants that cause respiratory issues, which is largely a public health issue that we need to tackle, esp in communities w large POC populations

Josh Gottheimer is the worst. We keeps proving to us why he should NOT be in Congress, much less be the Governor of NJ. He's a sellout who will pivot to the right if it benefits him. He's an Elon Musk stooge.

I call on my fellow democratic candidates to denounce any county endorsement made without democratic process. I will participate but I won’t stay silent in a broken system.

Now that Trump is saying it, can the Democratic Party forcefully oppose the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and the genocide of Palestinians?

Trump is working overtime to fund US intervention in Israel so his son-in-law can profit off developing Gaza.

Trump will cut funding for families but not genocide.

This is all happening because no one in Democratic Party leadership had the integrity to state the obvious: that Biden should not have run for reelection

Looking at 2025, NJ has an extremely important election for governor. Getting the vibe that many NJ progressives are energized between Mayors Baraka and Fulop! How are yall feeling, and why? #NJGOV

Of course, if you are supporting another candidate, who and why?
