I've always felt the beginners box should be 4 minis. 2v2 gives a better representative game without being too much to manage.

Yay, I won 3rd best painted army at Brawl in the Bluegrass, classic. I tried to use the feedback I got at last years southern assault and it seems to have paid off. #battletech #minipainting

Its super annoying at this point. Every day I block like 2 or 3 accounts for posting it

Ah, the daily practice of blocking all the accounts posting the "mechwarrior" vibrating cock ring....

Very close game of #Battletech Alpha Strike today. I lost through attrition but the final score was still very close 19 to 21.

We're preparing for Brawl in the Bluegrass locally & after extensive playtesting of classic lists we have switched to some alpha strike practice. Lost this game but another turn & I would have tabled my opponent. All of his units were living on nothing but hopes & dreams at this point #battletech

Its an interesting perspective. And gives me a place to start for some research into it. Know what caused it will help avoid it in the future and possibly recreate it if I ever want that effect on purpose

Environmentally controlled setting so I dont think so but I am near a vent so maybe it just kicked on and hit at just the right moment. Idk

I did an oil wash over an acrylic gloss coat but I've never encountered this issues before. I obviously did something different this time around but I have no idea what it could be. Maybe there was come kind of contamination...water maybe. Idk. Its a real head scratcher

I was really hoping I could figure out some way to save these but I eventually decided to hit the eject button and just strip them so I can start over. Pulled extra minis to paint up to save time. Will fill in the stock pile with stripped minis. Still wish I could figure out what caused this

Having a weird issue doing an oil wash. The gloss coat I laid down first is crackling but not really peeling. Ive never encountered this before & didnt change anything about my approach. Clear gloss coat had a day to cure. Anyone encountered this before? Or have an idea what might of caused it?

Thank you, it is taken a while to develop the brush control to be able to do that consistently but it really helps when brain fatigue is starting to set in

Some shots from a quickly thrown together game set during the Amaris Civil War. My side won but just by the very skin of our teeth. #battletech

All of my #battletech #minipainting discord spaces have basically been taken over by a guy I had the single worst table top gaming experience of my life with, except for 1. Its not a huge deal since I am like 85% lurker but seeing so many people cozy up to him when I know what's he's really like ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ

Yeah. Its not a great machine or anything but in a tonnage that doesn't have a lot of good offerings I think as a cheap flanker/harasser/ objective grabbers it is hard to beat.

Im gonna have to go with the Cicada. It still feels like a light, is generally pretty affordable like a light, but tends to be able to take a slightly harder punch then a light. Also, good return on investment on a number of varients. The 2A, 3C, 3MA, and 4A all stand out as good bang for the buck

My headcanon is still firmly stuck on the idea that everytime there is an official government announcement made in the Taurian Concordat, there is quiet flamenco guitar playing in the background of the broadcast and its secretly illegal to not having it playing. #battletech

They are rules for a variety of non-mech elements of the game that allow folks interested in adding some variety or spicing up the tactics of a game a bit without diving into a full set of supplemental rules that could complicate the game. They are relatively simple and easily integrated into games

How is this different then pirate point? Longer format stories? Different focus? Im all for fan created collaborative efforts, just curious how it is different?

As said by others they are movement tracking dice. I got these from Mr. Laser on Etsy but you can find a ton of variations online. You can use normal d6s as well but I found the movement teachers help new players a bit more (and I teach a lot of new players so...)
