The limitations just make it feel so stiff.. how flat the world ends up being, how all parts start to look the same... This level of customization needs a direction

I have a hard time believing that 100% customizable world editing is popular enough to warrent being added to so many goddamn games now! It's so convenient for the creators to not have to bother designing interesting hub worlds for the player to fit around anymore!!
