*what should remain
No argument.
And the chaos allows the plutocrats to privatize that should remain our in the commons.
👍
It is.
No thanks to this administration which has cut public funding to mRNA research, we're closing in on a killer.
Found an interview in which Makary weaves, saying THIS mRNA is laudable because it came from private research.
Then he says a curious thing, praising the mRNA flu vaccine which was, in fact, denied approval by the FDA.

Dunno.
But I'd be overjoyed to explain it to Roadkill Robert.
It truly is when you consider that 3 year survival (for all stages) is only about 15%.
We're on the cusp of changing that for the MUCH better.
Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.
Promising mRNA vaccine against pancreatic cancer!
In 8 of 16 patients, the vaccine "taught" the immune system to recognize the tumor, triggering the body to produce immune T cells to kill the tumor cells.
Of these 8 patients, 7 (87.5%) were alive 4-6 years after surgery.

Hegseth is probably whining that Samuel L. Jackson got the part he wanted because DEI.
Figure showing number of competitive grants mentioning women from 2015-2025. The number was rising until recently, with a precipitous drop in the last year.
At the end of 2024, the National Academies put out a report concluding the NIH has woefully underfunded women’s health research, and they suggested $15 B should be invested over the next 5 years.
Here’s what’s happened instead. Hard to study women’s health if you can’t say “women.”

He is.
And genuinely so, I think.
He doesn't suffer fools but his rebukes are not vitriolic, rather they seem like attempts at correction.
In this humble practitioner's opinion, that idea wasn't nuts.
But honor and respect to that Prof of yours.
Hope she's still allowed to teach all of them.
The families of more than 100 school children killed in the U.S. bombing of an Iranian school have written a letter of gratitude to Pope Leo XIV. In it, they thank him for being a champion of peace and a voice for their deceased children. The White House has yet to apologize for the incident.

Yeah.
And that's an historic clip you found.
The rightward drift of U.S. politics had long been underway.
Shearer was too bolshy in the minds of the well-heeled in Santa Monica.
♥️ 🙏 ♥️
I listened to the show when I drove between the 4 hospitals at which I rounded in the San Joaquin Valley.
Thanks!
Absolutely true.
A wealth of studies over nearly 40 years shows that to be true.
And the bombing on any nuclear, power plant, here or abroad, could unleash radioactive hell on earth.
DEI DESERVES LESS RESEARCH?
Racial health disparities in the U.S. result in roughly 74,000 to over 80,000 excess deaths annually among Black Americans.
Other People of Color are also affected.

Thank YOU.
I wish many more would share that concern.

"To grasp the exponential nature of renewable energy rollout, consider that a total of 1GW of solar was deployed globally in 2004. Last year, the same amount was added every 12 hours".

So Junior, when will you advocate for universal, single payer healthcare?
🤣🤣
They do.
People with cancer deserve the fruits of research, excellent treatment, and a loving healthcare team.
