🇪🇺🏳️🌈⚖️🇭🇺 A legal earthquake - CJEU finds Hungary to have violated EU law on multiple counts with its anti-LGBT+ legislation (as expected) but also for the first time in history, in an EU law-reshaping precedent, finds Hungary to violate Art 2 TEU in a self-standing manner.
A long-standing approach of the Court requiring Art 2 TEU (the EU's core values bit of EU law) to be linked to something more specific is fading as the Lenaerts Court blows the door open to a much broader application of EU law in cases concerning democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
Where does he think his centre of gravity is, in his head?!
“T’ai chi moves” done with the right arm?
Laughing at Peter Thiel for wanging on about the antichrist is not intolerance of religious beliefs (but it’s sweet of you to call us/anyone an elite)
Who cares what I think, but I continue to believe the pro move is for entire tables to just not show up and let the room be empty. Just White House hangers-on and Congressional staffers slowly realizing they’re not going to get laid tonight, all shuffling around an empty room.
As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
Malignant masses in there make you cough too, don’t they?
We used to alternate a month or two on the road racking up miles and national park visits and staying with friends for the weekends and then come home and hardly leave the house for 3 weeks; these days it’s epic train journeys into Europe
They all seem to be extended bits

new proposal also talks about transition plan, during which many services will need to be updated.
we are pretty confident about this new direction, and intend to start updating the specs and SDKs.
alright protocol devs, some wonky bits:
we revisited the recent service auth JWT harmonization proposal, and have a revision up that sticks with a single string 'aud' field. also touches on issuer 'kid', and makes 'lxm' mandatory for XRPC endpoints.

I’m also a big fan of seeing a trained osteopath because getting your joints back in the alignment they should have is great (my sacroiliac joints tend to wander and it can be like a knife in my back until I get an adjustment)
Yeah, if it’s any kind of muscle spasm and you can get a Valium prescription it is literally life changing (also CBD ointment can sometimes help and at one point I used to chew green buds for period pain, so if they’re available maybe try an edible?)
Literally more addictive than heroin (my medical herbalist had a herb mix she put together to help addicts and she was all “helps with heroin, tobacco ehhh probably not so much but try it anyway”
There’s such a lot of “if you don’t say the thing I would say you’re bad and wrong” instead of “thank you for contributing your point of view which isn’t the same as mine, now we both have more to consider and maybe learn from “
Digital nomad! Got weirdly nostalgic the other day for times like when we flew from Florida to LA for a surprise event and then drive overnight to SF to another and my husband would be driving and I’d be writing up the event in the passenger seat and filing by hooking up to my 3G phone
It’s not as personal but so many bad takes in one place is - well, it’s like a taste of how awful being a moderator on social media must be!
Dennard scaling went *faster* than Moore’s Law for many years; I wish the publisher of the book where I wrote all this up hadn’t done a runner with the marketing money so people might have had a chance to read about it!
Dumb stoner ideas can happen any day!
And those of us who are late chronotypes do more to extend our lives by not getting up scarily early (living to your chronotype is this one weird tip for living longer)
this is one of those cognitive hazards like clearsky where it's great that it exists and I absolutely don't want to look at it unless I have to go confirm that the spam didn't all stop when one person left
the ones that *Drexler* figured out were wrong and backtracked on but none of the nanotech-boosters ever got caught up on that
