I’m so over letting certain politicians making it seem like the people are a burden and the problem. Stop making it seem like we’re the ones looking for a handout. Stop giving away OUR money and taking away benefits we’ve already paid for.

We had so much fun. Everyone at our polling place is so nice. Turnout was great. I got assigned to curbside voting and got to sit out in the beautiful sunshine all day!

Large turnout in my polling place outside Richmond. As many people as last November. A lot of people went this past weekend for early voting and said it was too busy so they waited until today. I think turnout will be high down this way.

It makes no sense that the system saves any money or there’s less waste and fraud the way it is. Big business rules over here. So much for the looking out for the people. It’s really depressing.

I was 2 weeks from no insurance because I got laid off (gov budget cuts). That could have ruined everything financially for me. I still don’t have insurance, but should have a full time offer soon. I’m pursuing Canadian citizenship and my great grandmother was Northern Irish, need to look into that.

After my recent experience I am envious. The system here is beyond broken. It’s killing people and ruining lives. Here’s my itemized bill for recent emergency gallbladder surgery. My portion was almost $6000 after almost $18,000 in insurance premiums for the year.
