Something like 95% of actors who even make it to the oscars on a nomination never see it again. I would understand boycotting the golden globes. But you have to put yourself in their shoes. I dont criticise them chosing to celebrate their achievement. The afterparties I could do without.

I agree to a point on lesser movie award festivals. But to a lot of these actors the Oscars is pinacle moment of their careers. This is there Superbowl or Pulzeters prize. Some very well known actors and actress are stuck in the nominated but never win area in history. When you see it in that light.
