Tillis isn’t running again - maybe now he will FINALLY show some actual backbone and vote based on what’s best for North Carolinians, instead of tow the MAGA line.
P.S. We won’t miss ya Thom. #ncpol

My awesome Mom is making her sign for the #HandsOff Rally today in Florida. She is a retired teacher, so she used a yard stick to make sure her spacing was even. So adorable! “Grandmothers for Justice and Freedom.”

I’m here looking for ANY HOPE that someone with authority will stand up to Trump’s outrageous series of unconstitutional power grabs. Congressional Republicans? SCOTUS? Bueller? #trumptakeover #endofdemocracy #savetheUSA

Thank you Leslie. I wanted to mention you by name but had to cut a lot of my remarks to keep it to the 3 minutes limit. You did great work for the caucus and I appreciate you.

I’m fostering this adorable pair of kittens, saved from a car engine when they were a couple days old. They are 4 weeks now and too cute. They make it hard to get anything done. ❤️ #kittens

Just heard White House photographer Pete Souza speak at @davidsoncollege.bsky.social and man - it really made me miss President Obama. He was an ideal leader - such a contrast with the one who followed. I hope Pete joins this platform soon!

The power-hungry NC Republican lawmakers are up to their old tricks again - using a lame duck special session and a bill that’s supposed to be for Helene recovery to politicize election administration and strip power from elected Democrats.

I planted tulip bulbs this weekend. It’s a small, but concrete, way to create some post-election optimism. Pretty sure our country will be in major crisis under Trump. At least I’ll have one good thing to look forward to in 2025. 🌷

How are you finding optimism these days?
