You’ve probably seen this before but it is always worth reposting. Please always check in with friends. People’s struggles are not always evident. And be kind to yourself too. youtu.be/tX8TgVR33KM?...
Can’t be any worse than the passive trustees of the USS.
Why Jasmin Paris should be #SPOTY24
She completed Barkley Marathons with 99 seconds to spare
- 33 Parkruns distance
- in a forest
- mostly off trail
- partially in dark
- no GPS watch
- ascended 2x height of Everest
- only 19 male runners have completed it in 29 years
- Jasmin was the 1st woman
Gulp!
Big shout out to all the posties in the UK who are still wearing shorts. It was -5.5 this morning when I got into the car. Respect.
I was so impressed with this article that I took it with me to the Hay Festival and got Andrew O’Hagen to sign it! Lol!
If I had a pound for every time I confused the Clock app with the Calculator app, I'd have 12:25pm
It would be far better if they moved out of that absurd, archaic building which is costing upward of a billion to make even vaguely suitable for a parliament, let it become a wonderful museum and built a new parliament, perhaps in the Midlands
Teaching vicarious liability this week. I can be critical of Scottish courts, but VL is one area where they have been exemplary. As @campbellmat1.bsky.social & BWML said in their recent article 'Few are the Scottish applications of the close connection test which surprise.' Which is a good thing.
All of them! 😂
Appreciate this may not be a universally popular opinion but the less you treat BlueSky as a crusade or cause, and the more you position it as simply a superior user experience with a better governance approach, the more sustainable the growth will be.
Please do! I'm missing your posts.
Thanks, Matthew. Very interested to hear more. Is the scope UK-wide or E&W only?
Institutional incoherence reaches pardoy levels today.
It’s certainly starting to feel more vibrant over here! I got fed-up with all the weird bots and nasty content. It’ll take a while to fine-tune my feed but it’s so much better than X.
It exists—well, in typescript. My book, On the Law of Speaking Freely, is written. All being well Hart will publish it in the spring.
im on every app. im in your city, in your neighborhood. the sales associate who handed you a large when you asked for a medium? that was me. i am now behind you.
@lanarkboy.bsky.social still no posts from lanark boy! How are you?
Well, I say this because I care about you!
It literally takes months, and many people, to get something simple updated on an internal school webpage, but seconds for me to post on here! Is it just me?
I reckon the purpose of modern defamation law is more about, in reality, that the victim is unable to form economic relationships with others.
It's brilliant! Have you watched Please Like Me? www.imdb.com/title/tt2155... Another brilliant Auzzie comedy.
Defamation klaxon! New article just published. It's Open Access. Written by Dr Lindsay and me. We read tons of cases. It was glorious. So much fun to work on. The subject matter of the cases was neither fun or glorious.

I just made my first below-the-line comment on an FT article, wish me luck, I’ll need it!
Of course! 😂
A coffee would be great, Gav!
Cough, cough. How about a bowtie?
