A couple things…

The “conflict“ in Iran *IS* a war.
It is a war of choice.
It is warfare without conscious.
It was unprovoked.

And I’m sick and tired of people suggesting & implying the only tragedies herein are that US Service Members have died. The people of Iran are innocents in this conflict!

Mexico's President Sheinbaum opposes US and Israel illegal war; "The UN has stopped fulfilling its role ... Countries with greater military power prevail, that cannot be." "It's not about who opposes or supports a regime; it's about civilians who pay for it, the bombing of a school full of girls."

After 30+ years, thousands of lives and trillions of wasted dollars, most Americans know this much.

Stay the hell out of the Middle East.

Watching the most delusional and incompetent administration in our lifetimes try to convince us otherwise, would be comical if it wasn’t dangerous.

Sam Altman tells OpenAI staffers that military's 'operational decisions' are up to the government In an all-hands meetings with OpenAI employees on Tuesday, CEO Sam Altman said his company doesn't get to choose how the military uses its technology.

Publicly, Sam Altman claimed OpenAI is amending its agreement with the Department of Defense(lies). Behind closed doors, however, he told employees during a Tuesday all-hands meeting that the company doesn’t “get to make operational decisions” about how its AI technology is used by the DoD. #QuitGPT

Most telling part of this rant: That the war will go on until "we decide it is over," not until the aims of the war are achieved - because there are no stated aims; and Trump prefers having none, so any result will allow him to try to claim a "win."

Football players will pay no taxes in Mississippi on their licensing deals, which can sometimes be very lucrative in the millions. Teachers, cops, firefighters, construction workers - they still have to pay taxes on their income.

I hate to say it, but the worst violence from Iran is yet to come.

The regime has a long history of targeting the softest possible targets, particularly civilian sites.

We are about to see some truly ugly events across the Middle East and beyond. Brace yourselves, but don't give up on humanity.

The Declaration of Independence says we have the right to overthrow the government The right to overthrow a government remains an important principle to uphold, as it serves as a check on government power. It is a reminder that governments ...

The Declaration of Independence says that we not only have the right but we also have the duty to alter or abolish any government that does not secure our unalienable rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

so far i think in the last 48 hours trump has called

- michael scherer at the atlantic
- jonathan karl, abc
- jake tapper, cnn
- axios
- bret baier, fox news
- the new york times
- the washington post

just noting that when he wants to sell a war, suddenly theyre not "fake news" anymore

for those of you who werent adults during iraq, its hard to overstate how much the media loves war porn. they salivate over pentagon spin briefings. they love stories about all the bombs and how supposedly infallible they are. they love the notion of the commander in chief, in the situation room etc

When your political belief resembles religious dogma, there's a problem. Its one thing to learn from various thinkers, take the good and leave the bad, its another to argue about who has the "right" interpretation of white men from a hundred years ago like they're your unquestioned infallible gods 🙄

If this war is retribution for all the years of Iranian aggression against America, why were we even at the negotiating table with them?

It’s a different spin every day.

Why Legitimate Power Must Be Built, Not Seized Blueprint: Removing a tyrant may feel moral.

Khamenei ruled for 40 years. His repression was real.

But “we’ve waited long enough” cuts both ways.

Removing a dictator isn’t building stability.

Speed looks strong.

Preparation makes it legitimate.

Durability > spectacle.

Sunday Build It was a heavy week.

Heavy week. Real escalation.

That’s why Sunday Build exists.

While governments posture, people still feed neighbors, expand mental health access, organize locally.

Capacity doesn’t disappear when headlines darken.

Less reacting.
More building.

You can't prosecute people or states based on vibes and social media engagement stats. If you want justice and accountability, the legal processes, groundwork, and bureaucracy required to achieve them must be understood and supported.

I'm struggling to understand the present-day "peace through strength" concept — where some dictators are eliminated, while one particular dictator is offered generous business opportunities and full impunity for genocide.

Billions of $ will be spent to attack Iran while in the USA, Americans can't afford healthcare, millions have lost food stamps and countless people are barely being able to make ends meet. Why not invest in the people of America first?!!
