Watching Gachiakuta and my girlfriend points at Rudo after an episode and says "You'd be really good voicing this character."
Im like "Hahaha... yeah π« ."

Girlfriend and I started Gachiakuta and yeah, that shit owns.
Really strong dub too!

I watched the whole series way late, so I have no nostalgia for ATLA. I found all of Korra but season 2 to be really enjoyable (2 has some huge problems). The good seasons I adored though, and I enjoyed the older cast and darker tone, personally. Season 3 especially is chef's kiss.
All the Avatar discourse has me feeling like an abject freak for enjoying Korra more than ATLA. Some people fucking HATE this show oh my god.
Coach McGuirk pep talking Brendon but instead it's Marcoh and Tanaka from Fear and Hunger 2.
I think the biggest backhanded situation of the pandemic for VO was that
- *everyone* was asked to get their home studios up to βbroadcast quality standardβ in order to continue working
- *no one* was subsidized for this despite the urgency
And yet in-person remained the norm as SOON as it ended.
I picked up those Fruit Riot candies since they've been making the rounds and they're definitely good, especially as a slightly lower calorie candy alternative, but oh my god they are pure chemical warfare on my teeth.
Warhead levels of citric acid, I can only eat a few π₯²
Wait, do Americans actually think it's weird that Canadians like eating their fries with gravy???
Please tell me I'm seeing a weird outlier. There's no way, right? It's potatoes and gravy, I know ya'll eat them together mashed. What does it matter when they're fried???
Had a role announcement drafted only for the game to get delayed last minute. I WILL BE BACK IN TWO WEEKS.

Finished Krondor: Tear of the Gods.
This is a novelization of Return to Krondor for the PC, which was formative game for me growing up, and it was a solid adaptation! Happy that the characters got a chance to be a little more fleshed out over the obviously longer runtime. Big DnD oneshot vibes too.
So grateful to have studio folks who worked with me during the pandemic reach out all these years later.
Feeling so thankful π₯Ή
Something I've learned in the last 24 hours:
If you want to scope out how people are feeling about a VO job you worked on, never go to Reddit π«
ROLE ANNOUNCEMENT π£π₯ π₯π₯
I voice Katsuki Bakugo in #DeathBattle!
If this is as close as I ever come in my career to voicing in battle shonen, I'm glad that it got to be as such a kickass character
Thanks to Liam and the DB team, as well as Sound Cadence for having me!
youtu.be/RcaAXvAAWbo?...
Ahhh thanks so much Tom!!! Hope to appear in DB as much as you eventually, it was so fun π
Clifford Chapin has to be the strongest man alive because my 1-2 hour recording session had me sweating, literally. Imagine doing that for 10 years. Insane.
Studied his Howitzer Impact delivery too, hope ya'll like it π

We got given a beef tongue by a friend. I have never cooked beef tongue in my life, but I tried making tacos out of it anyway.
A bit gnarly, but gotta say, that's a damn good taco for reasonably low effort.
I knew you'd be happy to see this π₯Ή
Hope you know that I had Senjou in the back of my mind for the entire recording session. Haven't forgotten my roots.
Oops I dropped this
:)
Remote recording should be universal for gigs that don't require PCAP. It expands talent pools beyond hubs & allows immunocompromised folks to safely work. It absolutely comes with extra hurdles, but all anyone is asking for is the chance to try out, not be walled off by "in-studio only" mandates.
Alberta and Saskatchewan's leadership being opposed to Avi Lewis' confirmation as the new NDP leader just further cement him being the correct pick, to be honest.
Congrats Shakyra!
Client tried booking me for in-studio in LA. Guess I'll consider that as much a sign that I'm competitive as anything π
Replayed Resident Evil 5 for the first time since it came out and yeah I think this game owns.
I really wanna play Crimson Desert because it looks like the kind of sandbox freak game I'd be super into, but maaaaaan, it's 100 bucks π©
Riftwar readthrough continues.
Krondor: The Betrayal wrapped.
This is actually a novelization of a PC game from 1993. I haven't played it, so I dunno how it stack up. As a cozy adventure novel though? I liked it! Cool callbacks to Darkness at Sethanon and some good new characters.
