Straight-up talking to a brick wall. She has told me with such confidence stuff that happened at protests and I'd go, "I was there. I stood right there. None of that happened," and will not believe me, her own kid, over what she saw on television.

Once I was like, "Who paid you to go to the Trump rally?" "Nobody! We WANT to be there!" So it's not even POSSIBLE to them that anyone "wants" to be on the left; we're all paid. But I do love thinking about the logistics of trying to pay all those protestors! Soros's check-writing hand achin' hard!

It's the belief that people on "our side" (anyone to the left) couldn't possibly feel that way without being paid to. Their "side" feels that way because they want to; our "side" feels the way we do because we're being paid. It's simply not possible that anyone disagrees with them without incentive.

My own mother told me *I* was a paid protestor; she’d call after a protest & say something about Soros & I’d be like, “How’s that work? Will I get the check in the mail? Is he writing all these checks by hand & licking the stamps?” She’d scoff & still not believe me that I hadn’t been paid to go.

Off top, but this reminds me of how much Adult Shit I did as a kid. I'm an only child & most of my childhood no other kids were around & I went to all the adult stuff by default. Also think I remember the Hank show being in the round & he ran around playing solos on everyone's stuff, even the horns

Worth noting that my uncle looked/looks EXACTLY like the photo of Hank here, and to this day wears a BOCEPHUS hat pretty much constantly.
