The wolf took several references. I took inspiration from Salish motifs when I decided to add the "fish" inside of the wolf, which I thought was a subtle image suited to the theme that power consumes to keep power, there are things inside of other things... not just #tristanandsabine SHIPPP

Basically, we're using several flat color layers, under which I'm sliding things like the fog, sandwiching in the trees in between, and then applying a texture and some particular points of shading, to create a relatively sharp depth gradient. I love how it came out.

The mountains come together very fast in the video because I make them by using the lasso tool to draw a mask for using the fill tool to create several layers of flat mountains. I've always wanted to do a piece of art using this technique to build depth!

Another sketch of my character. This time a silly sketch of her being too cold in the snow.

When I'm blocking out where light is going to be in a background I usually start with some very blobby things as a vague idea, and paint it all on one or two layers at most. Some of my brushes are designed to interact with other colors on the layer. Not a lot of planning, especially for nature.

I wanted a realistic dreamy color palette. You can't see my colors that I'm picking from in the timelapse since it only captures the active CSP window. I usually just have a few photos or reference images in a side window for that. In this case I referenced an impressionist looking painting.

So the thought process. Of course I had a rough idea going in. Woman sitting by river on some rocks. Easy. You can see me going through a little posing variation at the start. Eventually I'm like SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE LOWER BODY so I just drew in some wavy "a waterfall will go here FFS" lines.

It's just personal art so this is the finished version on the left for now, maybe I'll revisit it later, I dunno, I try not to spend TOO much time drawing my own characters. The feature character of a storyline my cowriter and I have been working on. What do you think, lighter or darker version?

The likely etymology is pitta > pizza. So, since pizza probably originates from the same word as pita, which is a bread, pizza is just another word for a flat bread. Eat it however you want! One modern Italian pizza is pizza ai frutti di mare, which is seafood and tomato, no cheese.

Anyone interested in a lie flat 1 inch grid book to draw battlemaps in? I was looking for one on Amazon and very disappointed to find they're all perfect bound print on demands, so they don't lie flat and the grids are cut off by the fold. What I want can't be printed on demand though, I need you!

As usual, it is a no-lyrics background track album and if you buy it, has the rights for use with credit in your games etc!
