I just think the auto-archiving fandom impulse is endlessly interesting!!!!

of course a lot of this is because there were quite a few inter-fandom BNFs (especially Aja so ymmv…) who stayed involved long term and like seem to have shepherded the fandom through the LJ migration to tumblr?

and because of like, everything about me as a person this scratches so many itches. I wish this existed for other fandoms in this way? I think? Maybe sometimes.

okay so I think one of the reasons I’ve become so insane about inception in the last week is the fandom’s internal practice of archiving and commemorating. There’s a popular anniversary event and a lot of meta about the fandom’s growth and place in larger fandom spaces/histories
