Trying to craft an exciting fantasy story idea without directly and egregiously ripping anyone off is REALLY difficult. But listening to @brandonsanderson.com helps a LOT

I read this to the tune of Mrs. Robinson and now I can't stop laughing!
I think about this quote from All The Presidents Men constantly- “The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand”.
People in Glass' house shouldn't throw stupid comments
So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was “your piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.

Interesting! How did you decide on the object of these heists? Are you bucking trends or following established plot mechanics? Are you reading/watching anything specific for research?
@rosstmiller.bsky.social Ross! So good to have you here. How're things? Also, I have a small favour to ask: Pick a film for me from this stack...
I find that if every I'm struggling for ideas, I always return to heists. Easy in terms of mechanics, but fun to mess around with and ruminate on. Anyone else have a fall-back genre like that? #scriptchat
Hello.....is this thing on?
Happy #Scriptchat guys, gals and non-binary pals.
Wins: Came up with 3 ideas that I can actually spin in to projects that are quite exciting after a bit of a fallow period (Alien invasion/heist, medical sci-fi caper, small-scale crime caper).
