Despite being present since the 21st of December it would appear the AMERICAN YELLOW WARBLER has either perished or moved on during the recent bad weather with no positive sighting since the 2nd of January. The sighting from the 3rd is a COMMON CHIFFCHAFF.

A wholly unconfirmed report of a WHITE-BILLED DIVER on Cresswell Pond, Northumberland.
An accurate 225 species of bird have been recorded so far in Britain & Ireland 2025. This includes the new ship assisted NORTH AFRICAN PIED CROW in County Galway.
Elsewhere the highlights include - NORTH AMERICAN BUFFLEHEAD on Foula and LEAST SANDPIPER in Somerset (for second week).
At least 31 birders have now connected with the NORTH AMERICAN LEAST SANDPIPER in Somerset today. But disappointing to hear it's been around since mid November.

Again no further sign all day of the Scarlet Tanager which has been present for 9+ days in Northowram.
Very slow moving traffic northbound towards Stourbridge on the A491 (Hagley Road), avoid if possible.
