But man. I never been through a mass lay off like that before. Was eye opening to say the least. They called a urgent "company wide" meeting (on my day off) and boom. Let us all know that day was our last day. All I heard was Pops in my ear 😭

Today, after 4 rounds of interviews, I was offered & accepted a similar role with a different company. I thought I would be looking for weeks or months with how brutal the job market is right now. Crazy how things work out.

On 2/27, my previous company laid off 30% of the company. I unfortunately was a part of that 30%. But thankfully it came with 12 weeks of severance pay & they allowed me to keep my laptop. Better than nothing I guess lol
