A scene from my Cranium Command AU where Buzzy and Captain Cortex are lost in the middle of nowhere at night. Buzzy is visibly worried, panicking about the worst possible outcome, such as being eaten by an amoeba, as mentioned in the subtitles of the piece. The overall colors of the artwork are dark blue, with green towards the parts that are lit and a bit of pink on some plant life. The world of the brain pilots in my AU is submerged in submerged in cerebrospinal fluid, so I also add elements that allude to the fact that they’re technically underwater.
First proper piece with dialogue and it’s Buzzy freaking out. 😭
Anyway, here’s sequel piece to a painting I did many months ago in which Buzzy and Cortex were lost. I thought it would be fun to experiment with something that looked like a screenshot with subtitles.

The scene takes place in a dry forest area, so there's some bushes and cacti around the scenery, with the addition of powerlines and some streetlamps. The weather is hot and sunny, to the point where heat mirages are visible giving the illusion of distant puddles of water.
