A gas station soda with the QT logo filled with a fluid with a red hue near the bottom of the cup
The same soda up closer
I poured myself an evil looking combination of sodas the other day

sorry, I can't engage with the prompt but this needed sound
astronauts sometimes describe a transcendent feeling of connection with all human beings when viewing the earth from space, an effect previously only achievable by taking a little edible and grilling hot dogs in the sunshine
Had to go to the local menards twice, first to get a 3/8" to 3/4" ght fitting. And a second time because the old wiring I had to attach it to cane with both not enough, and too small wire nuts...
Didn't cost me the additional $220 that getting it installed world have cost though, so that's nice.
Installed a new (refurbished) dishwasher in our house because selling it with that old non-functional one seemed like a bad idea.
Found out our old one was wired sketchily as fuck. Oh joy.
Might be as simple as putting some cualk on there and fastening some bolts. We had to reattach our bathroom sink to the walk recently, it was pretty much just that.

Tried adding some cracks below this ice, crazy what a difference it makes compared to the flat texture 🧊

The other thing a lot of people don't realize is that when using AI art as placeholder is that it takes away part of the creative(artistic) process. You don't have to think about what it should look like.If you let the AI gen it,you'll just end up recreating what it made instead of something original
Very real. I've heard game devs talk about this before AI was a thing. Placeholder art was purposefully made to stand out because then it'd be obvious what needs replaced with final art. Because if it didn't it'd get kept. You can't do that with AI art because it doesn't stand out in the same way.
I need to finish my move, because my weekends being taken up is making me miss out on Halo (Custom Edition) gamenights
Really loving seeing you work on your own game dev stuff on here
And just so it's clear. Yes, I believe the social, economical, ecological impacts of the current state of large language models under capitalism sucks.
If the world is going too fast, take a break, read an article. Wikipedia is really fun, you get to read about a thing and there's like a billion links in the text. Simple topics become infinite pits of questions and answers. Try it, look around you, pick an object, read the article about it!
Like alright, use that google AI summary, but please read the sources. And didn't just read the text, interpret the text, try and understand why they wrote it, where they're coming from, why the claims that are made are being made. And ffs verify.
Writing, coding, speaking, they're all like muscles, they only get stronger and stay fit if you use them. I'm not saying that shortcuts are bad, I'm saying that each shortcut is potentially a lost learning opportunity
Want to know another reason why? If you can't explain it, you probably don't understand how it works.
In an age where AI can explain anything for you I've dropped the quality control and formality for my code comments so people actually know I wrote the comment. Only making sure the information is clearly conveyed, not caring if it's punctuated all properly

gonna possibly start logging more notes as i work on things, especially since this game has been what i've wanted to use as a vessel to learn more tech art stuff.
closer look at the current "rim light" shader, basically a stylized emission influenced by vertex lighting

This rings incredibly true for me.
The random posts that are interesting about interesting things have become way less frequent in my life.
And the faster paced forum style conversations are now even faster paced and in less focused settings, so they're harder to keep up with.
Followed a recipe from a baker who was making this since before I was born. And when they were finally finished they tasted almost like the ones from my early childhood, but better!
That moment really did it for me, because that was my proof that, no, my taste buds have not degraded, the food has!
I feel this, so many things I liked as a kid suck now because of the quality degrading. I'm only 27 and I was first noticing this years ago already. The thing that really did it for me was when I decided to bake some of my favorite cookies from my childhood instead of just buying it.
