Seems petulant….
Most of my current job appears to be sorting out integration problems because previous wonky decisions and half-arsed solutioning by people who are no longer contactable…
To all UK politicians using the phrase ‘woke nonsense’ - take a look at other countries who have used that phrase and where it got them to.
You should be ashamed of yourselves, but I guess that’s not in your nature.
IIJM, or do a lot of use cases for AI try to solve the problem that search is so broken ?
Because it’s personal ? You’ll be great.
I read that it was done as a prequel before they were a thing. Setting it *before* Raiders was partially to not have Nazis as the bad guys again, and partially due to Lucas’ and Spielberg’s states of mind at the time… they were both going through some personal difficulties.
Per Ardua Ad Astra.
Watching the semi uncut version of Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom.
It’s dark.
It was so dark it created a whole new rating (PG 13).
Still a great film, though.
I feel seen….
Asked by a homeless person for spare change, but I don’t carry cash any more.
Asked if there was anything they wanted from the shop next door - there was :
“Banana milkshake”.
Shop had none, so got Strawberry instead. They seemed happy with that.

F-SKUs. Couldn’t have put it better myself.
Robert Jenrick has unusual two-tier hair - it looks softer at the top and thinner there than at the side..
Almost like he’s moved his arse closer to his mouth to make it easier to talk out of it.

There’s ideas to retrain people who lose jobs to AI as prompt engineers.
Dystopian much ?
New game:
Every time someone mentions CoPilot on a call, hang up for 10 seconds and then dial back in…
First three words would have done…
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.
Today, I’ll be mostly explaining how SQL 6.5 bcp format files work to people who weren’t born when they were created.
I feel old 👴
If he invades Greenland, NATO could invoke Article 5, meaning the US would have to send troops to protect against US troops…
If automated code reviews tell us anything, it’s that developers use a *lot* of copy/paste and are both inconsistent and lazy…
It’s very retro… like Window 3.11
Hot take:
If a generative AI is capable of generating porn, it must have been trained on porn.

If you need copilot to summarise your project documentation, that’s probably not a good sign…
Got a new phone and now Authenticator is FUBAR.
Wants me to sign into Authenticator (OK), then it sends a code to Authenticator that I can’t access because I’M USING IT.
Other method - send text message (OK), enter OTP (OK), and it then asks me to change my password 🤦♂️

Not all heroes wear capes…
At Chirstmas, we all kneed to rememberise pragamtism and coceistince…
Love it when people customise stuff, then have to remove the customisations later on….
It’s the way they spin it - ‘strategic review’, ‘simplification’, ‘releasing value’, etc…
It’s never ‘actually we’ve thought about it and it was a mad thing to in the first place’
😂
I dinged CouchDB a few years ago, but it was sandwiched between Cassandra and Neo4 which I really liked.
Felt right.
It’s not like they don’t already have some of this information, but here they’re saying that they’ll happily use it against you if they don’t like it.
Hard no from me on US travel, probably for quite a while…
