Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matt 5:9
Hey biblical studies, early Christianity, ancient Judaism scholars: I’m resurrecting my blog after a hiatus and wanting to make it a useful place to find open access journals and open educational resources. Starting with open access peer/reviewed journals: what are some of your go-tos?
Praise god/dess for trans folks.
Had trouble sleeping last night because I just kept thinking about Metatron. With his 365,000 eyes and 72 wings and body of fire. So hot!

Dear SBL folks: please consider proposing a paper to the Mysticism, Esotericism, and Gnosticism in Antiquity Section. See our cfp below:
I also can’t separate art from the artist. Artists put their heart and souls into their art and therefore it is intrinsically tied to their heart an soul. Likewise I cannot separate scholarship from the scholar.
Unlike others I cannot separate the two.
So if the bad creator of the otherwise neutral art can benefit from it and use that benefit to do bad things then yeah that’s a line I cannot cross.

Well I’m just six years behind you.
What?!?! You’re 51?!?!!!
It’s almost as if I had become a different writer, perhaps transformed person between some of the early chapters and the last ones. 😉
Secret Book of John has a lot going on in it to talk about and perhaps be easier to make connections with other readings than a work like say Treatise on the Resurrection which is more focused on just one issue.
Merci beaucoup to @sebastiendoane.bsky.social for such a gracious review of my book, The Wild Word!
