I encourage people to share this as well as their own stories. Anyone who thinks they’re β€œsafe” is not seeing the reality.

I don’t have a huge platform or anything, but I want to use whatever influence I do have to share this. What’s happening is frightening and unconstitutional.

Know your rights and protections.

If you have the ability to have an agent or attorney look at a contract before signing, that is always what I would recommend.

And if the contract with that person or corporation has language that they can purchase IP at any time and you can't refuse, or it gives them a percentage straight away, I would not recommend that either. In fact, I would warn against it!

Starting off the new year with a friendly reminder that I would NEVER recommend selling any percentage of your IP to anyone. Especially not large corporations.
