There should be something where you get money just for being alive on account of you need it to live

Favorite game: Legend of Mana. Best story: Final Fantasy X. Favorite art style: Hotel Dusk. Biggest personal impact: Coming Out on Top. Best combat: Etrian Odyssey V. Overhated: Suikoden IV. Underrated: Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon. Overrated: the Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past. Needs a remake: Earthbound Beginnings. Criminally overlooked: Even the Ocean. Favorite protagonist: Atelier Sophie. Favorite antagonist: Breath of Fire IV. Best soundtrack: Trials of Mana. Best multiplayer: Kirby Air Riders. Not usually my thing, but: Pokemon Pokopia. Turn my brain off: Picross S. Best with friends: Crash Team Racing. Best retro game: Legend of Dragoon. Nostalgic childhood game: Kingdom Hearts. Game everyone should play: Night in the Woods.
Did one of these! Legend of Mana could easily have taken a few other spots, but I tried to keep it interesting.
#16: Strangers on a Train (1951). A middling Hitchcock for me. The first amusement park sequence is phenomenal, but the merry-go-round finale is laughable.

Police told us that body cams would be used to hold them accountable and to prevent abuse.
Instead, they're going to be used to surveil the entire publicβand then to send all the surveillance data to a robot false-positive generator that is accountable to no one.
The protagonist of DESERT OF ASH: a Post-Apocalyptic Gay Sex Simulator, alongside three Pokemon: Blaziken, Machoke, and Sandshrew.
In honour of all the Pokopia I've been playing recently, I'm starting a new thread: DESERT OF ASH characters and their theoretical Pokemon teams!
Let's start with the protagonist, who obviously gets a hunky man Pokemon in Machoke, a Sandshrew for all his time in the desert, and Blaziken.
#15: The Blonde One (2019). My third Marco Berger. A subtly different but extremely effective angle on low-dialogue, slow queer cinema. Also extremely fucking hot.

#14: Society (1989). Goopy, fucked up, class conscious, kinda gay, kinda homophobic. Just a weird time.

man i fucking hate ads
A pencil sketch of a crow.
A pencil sketch of a blue jay.
A pencil sketch of a rhinoceros hornbill.
A pencil sketch of an ostrich.
I found a How to Draw Birds book in my partner's mom's basement and have been using it for practice. It's honestly terrible for a beginner: too few steps, and very inconsistent between them.
That said, here are some of my best birds.
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! ππ
If you wanted to help me celebrate, saying something nice about one of my games would be cool! A review on Steam, or a comment on itch, or just telling a friend who you think would be interested. Any of that would be lovely. π
The spring sale is nearly over! Grab DESERT OF ASH at 15% off while you can! ππ₯π₯π₯
I'm curious to see how long this turns out to be. I'm working from a 50k-word first draft (yeah, an old NaNo draft) but about 17k of that is a chapter I may cut or at least radically alter. But I'm looking to add another three chapters, too. So. π€·ββοΈ
Hit 10k words on this draft of my current writing project today! Pretty good for something I picked up partway through the month. πͺ
Last night I dreamt that I was working on a fairly impressive art piece, but the dream basically refused to actually let me add to it, like it knew that it would damage suspension of disbelief to actually have me be good at drawing. π¬
I've dipped a bit into Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse recently and, well...
It's certainly not the franchise's BEST attempt at a more character-focused writing approach. To put it lightly.
HIS OWN BEING, my kinetic visual novel about a guy who gets so lonely he conjures an identical double of himself, will be part of this bundle, FULLY UNCENSORED, no patch required!!
A screenshot of The Room Two. Shows a close up on a model ship's deck. The cannons sit on oddly-shaped tracks.
#3: The Room Two. More tactile puzzle goodness, although leans less puzzle box and more puzzle room, leading to more moments of looking around aimlessly for the next clue.
An image showing the logo for DESERT OF ASH: a Post-Apocalyptic Gay Sex Simulator above a large banner that says "15% off, Steam Spring Sale." The Steam logo sits at the bottom of the image. To the left of the text is an illustration of a brown-skinned man wearing white briefs and an open, pink housecoat. Flame tattoos can be seen on his wrist, peeking out of the housecoat's sleeve.

Survive the apocalypse, meet some hot guys, and maybe leave a review? π

#13: Weathering With You (2019). A rewatch of my favourite Shinkai, which I hadn't seen since it was first in theatres. Maybe the messiest of his modern trilogy, but it's so emotionally raw and powerful. Also, watched the dub this time! It's good!

I might be a pretty quiet person most of the time, but I really enjoy these chances to chat about my work and process. π
I went on the GRAFIK CONTENT podcast! We talked about sex in art, coping with ADHD, and what it means to be open and vulnerable in your work.

review the games you play if you want more indie games. even a single review can help an indie studio. and if you go through someone's catalogue and review several....? it helps so much more than you can imagine for small games.
