A photo of a home made cherry pie. It looks a pretty decent bake.
I made a cherry pie.
I saw Project Hail Mary yesterday: very good, 8/10. Ryan Gosling largely carries it, but Sandra Hüller is excellent and Rocky goes right to the upper reaches of the list of best non-humanoid aliens (James Ortiz does such a good job puppeteering and voicing him). Also, Ken Leung.
It was surprisingly delicious.

Ladies and gentlemen, and children of all ages, I present the Poppadom Preach Burger. (I also considered calling it the A Good Mango Is Hard To Find Burger).
Layers (bottom to top): Brioche bun bottom, poppadom, mango chutney, burger, extra mature cheddar, bacon, brioche bun top.
Just watched Ready Or Not 2: bloody loved it, 8/10. Was it as good as the first? No, but it did have 100% more Kathryn Newton.
Yeah, the Hound/Tormund/Brienne is solidly my top three.
Just back from Cold Storage (2026) - it's fun, 7/10. Liam Neeson Liam Neesons his way through things effectively, Georgina Campbell's fun, and Joe Keery is Joe Keery. I recommend it. Would double or triple bill nicely with Night Of The Creeps (1986) and/or James Gunn's Slither (2006).
Yes, it was a fantastic show, absolutley loved it.
Looks like we were a bit further back from the stage as well, but it's a bit hard to tell with the altitude.
From the looks of it I was somewhere roughly in line with you but basically in the sky (we were row Q of the uppermost level)
A view from a very high seat in London's O2
Really really in the nosebleed section here. Small price to pay for a Deftones show.
This has been a men's Royal Rumble of many missed/passed up opportunities to make or solidify stars.
Okay, so originally I wanted Sami to somehow win the Rumble. Then I wanted Oba Femi to go all the way. But now? Let it be Gunther. Chops for everyone's dinner, chuck 'em out, hit the Dvorak.
Oba Femi elminated. I cannot type BOO large enough.
So is Sami going to drag himself into the Rumble and win it?
No, but it would be nice, eh?
As soon as that was the final three, the result had a tedious inevitably about it. But then, I'm very much not a fan of Liv, so that colours it for me.
Also, I can't be the only one to think the Sol Snatcher looked a thousand times better when she did it as a springboard off the ropes earlier.
I really enjoy making mix CDs for people (including album art). The only problem with this is that as soon as I've finished one, I think of several songs that I would have put on there if I'd thought of them earlier, and bam, a new CD begins.
Maple and pecan cake, with maple icing, Biscoff, and dark chocolate.
It was absolutley brilliant. Honestly my favourite JJ stream this year, which is saying something given how many great ones there's been.
Motel Sundown played an excellent set at The Colne Delta Blues & Americana Club in Brightlingsea, which is all up on my YouTube.

@craiggouldmusic.bsky.social & The Noble Thieves played a blinding set at The Colne Delta Blues & Americana Club in Brightlingsea this past Friday, which I recorded and present to you here:

Not mine, but here's a picture of my sister's frankly ridiculous(ly cute) dog
Holy underwear, it was five (5) years ago today that I put out the first (full) THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE! starring @maffewgregg.bsky.social and @thetomcampbell.bsky.social - the passage of time is a terrifying, cruel tango. youtu.be/lm5J0PVzino?...
Just back from Predator: Badlands - I really liked it, it comes very close to Prey (which I loved), but it's a very different film, so it's hard to place. Elle Fanning is terrific, and I always love a robot/android that works despite what should be catastrophic damage.
Went to Cineworld's classic secret screaming. The title card comes up: "Terrifier 3". Left.
I don't rate the Terrifier series, but even if I did, you can't term a 1-year old film classic.
From the Bob's Burgers Burger Book - the Hummus a Tune Burger.
I used yellow pepper instead of red (it was the only one we had), but I don't think that impacted the overall burger too much.
Good stuff.
Just got back from seeing The Descent at the pictures: 20 years later, and it's still awesome. Shauna Macdonald never needed to make another film again, because she was already in that (but glad she has been in more films since, obviously)
What a guy - just look at that moustache.
From the Bob's Burgers Burger Book: the Sympathy For The Devilled Egg burger.
It was very nice. I had fries with it, but they weren't done when I took the pictures.
It's been a hell of a year for England's women's teams. Hot dang.
