I definitely missed that one. Was that for the Goldeneye remaster?

This reminds me of the N64 gold controller that was packed in with the Goldeneye console bundle. Very clever.
Amazing. I was only thinking the other day that I'd love a new Metro game.
Made a pilgrimage #deya
My first run of Outpost was a success! Went in to do the contract to unlock Sekeguchi. Took it very slow and ran away from everything. Managed to fulfil the contract after bumbling about. Then used the guarded exfil to escape after, again, hiding until the last few seconds. A cowardly but safe run.
Marathon continues to impress me. Just ran as a solo Assassin to get some dire marsh missions done I've been stuck on for ages and I encountered no one across the map. I was tense the entire time, moving from nu-cal truck to truck and exfiled with 5 mins to go. It was quiet but incredibly haunting.
I really like Burnt Mill beers, they always deliver. A brewery getting higher and higher in my estimation and becoming a favourite.

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from smashing bad guys and just chill on the roof tops. #spider-man2 #thephotomode #virtualphotography #vprepost #vpsupport #thecapturedcollective #thephotomode
More and more I think about companion apps for games. An app for BF6 to change loadouts, look at stats, or, space wizard forbid, Commander mode. For Marathon, changing loadouts, visiting the armoury, and viewing the codex. My limited gaming time means I'm sat in menus. If I've 5 minutes, hit the app
Okay. An important moment for us, if you’ll indulge me with a repost. It’s time to start the very first whisper of noise about our next game.
It’s a mailing list! But it’s a mailing list that I’m hoping will be a bit different than what you’re used to.

I maintain that Tron is fucking cool. Ares was pretty good, and whilst it was a little lacking in its very quick story is a great starting point for future instalments to build off of. Hopefully it isn't a decade before the next one.
Yes, absolutely! I always think 'ohh is that a face I see peering back at me and will chase me up the stairs. That would be exciting' and of course the answer is no, no there's not.
Post a non-religious picture you think of as holy
I'm all about a satisfying loop, which at times Marathon can frustrate on slightly, but it's very clear where I have gone wrong and can then improve on. It's drenched the game in style, aesthetically and in play.
I imagine we're at odds time wise but if you ever want to squad up let's chat.
Having played rookie numbers of 12 hours in Marathon, and more like 10 playing outside of menus, it's getting all of my gaming time (this would be more like 40 to 60 a few years ago). This game is something else. I just wish I had some people to play with, randoms can be so incredibly hit and miss.
My Marathon journey:
Why am I bothering? I suck at competitive multiplayer games.
Okay, but this lore rocks
Okay, but this is fun with skilled friends
Okay, but Rook is fun for scavenging
Okay, but solo is sick in general
Okay, but THIS LORE ROCKS
Okay, all hail the dead gods of silk and plastics
We should reconsider the term „energy crisis“ when speaking about the effects of the Iran war.
This is very specifically a crisis of fossil fuels and their single point of failure. Fossil fuels are no longer synonymous with „energy“. We have other, better options.
Just had the best run in Marathon yet. Wiped all teams, and managed to complete two of our team's missions. Exfiled with a minute left. This game is wild.
I absolutely love Marathon, and spend a reasonable amount of time talking about it here.
Spending the morning troubleshooting why a Wii remote cursor won't appear on the screen was not what I thought I'd be doing today.
I remember making VideoGamer (Pro-G back then) sat in the tiniest bedroom in a university house share in Brighton. It was my entire life for a very long time. I hope people remember it for what it meant to people and not the abomination it is today.
It's about addictive game design (yess!!) And predatory monetization (fuck yessss!!)
Played a couple of games of BF6 last night and all I could think about was Marathon. This game has really got hold of me.
I'd like to announce I have a new(ish) Podcast! It's called GameDev Unsung Heroes, and it's basically interviewing all the names in games you don't know about what they do, their career path, a few stories along the way. All free.
Here's the link gamedevunsungheroes.com
I could use re-posting :)
I'm flitting between games at the moment. Loving Marathon, dipping into BF6 still, but pushing through Spider-Man 2 at pace. This series has one of the best #virtualphotography #photomode in any game.

I feel you, Hulk.
I love games and so many of the people who make them. It was an honor to accept the award on behalf of the team and a privilege to be able to speak to what I believe in. ♥️
I didn't exfil once.
