Ted is our plucky, 17 yo protagonist! He just graduated high school and now looks to live his vacation to the fullest before heading to college. He's a well-meaning guy, but can be prone to naivety and influence, which has him getting in trouble more than he'd like. He holds his relationships close to his heart and will do anything for his friends (and girlfriend 💕). Ted always finds a ways to work around any problem that confronts him, no matter how bad lifestyle tries to screw him over. His other interests include crafting, fast food, and of course: Proton Polly, being her #1 fan and all (self-appointed). Just don't ask about his comic collection, it would take days for him to explain everything.

Derek is 18 yo and Ted's best friend! Being the oldest in the group would make you think you'd be confident, outgoing, and almost leader-like. Derek is basically the opposite of that: cowardly, quiet, and more of a follower. He's super cautious and mostly tries to keep Ted and Kathy out of trouble, to little success. He's pretty insecure, which doesn't help with him making friends outside his usual group, and especially makes him a target for people to clown on him. Despite that, he and Ted are super loyal to one another. With their love for comics, appreciation for quality junk foods, and their mutual adoration for art and cartooning, you couldn't ask for a better pair of buds
