This lovely and heartfelt tribute to Hermann Huppen (Jeremiah, The Towers of Bois-Maury), who died in March at the age of 87, is well worth your time today. It was written by Cynthia Rose for @comicsjournal.bsky.social.

A week or so ago I was working on my presentation on Aya of Yopougon (for the French class I take) when, to my shock, I found out about the death of its illustrator, Clément Oubrérie. A talented artist with so much visual verve and imagination.

Back in @comicsjournal.bsky.social with a review of Roman Muradov’s ALL THE LIVING, a book that surprised me not for its predictably gorgeous art but for its curious and addictive story. Keep an eye out for this one, folks, it’s one of my favorites of the year so far.
Recently, I interviewed Dan Martin for The Comics Journal (@comicsjournal.bsky.social)!

"All eight pages showed up completely penciled and inked and Wolverine was stark naked throughout the entire eight pages, full frontal and rear view.
“And I called up Sam and I said, ‘Sam, this is very nice. And Wolverine has a lot to be proud of. But it's comic books, and we can't print this.’"

"When [Pratt] draws Corto Maltese, even at repose, he always draws a man of destiny. A man at ultimate ease with himself, who knows who and what he is, yet a possessor of nearly-endless curiosity." — TCJ

Steven Ringgenberg of The Comics Journal wrote a short bio on Jeffrey Catherine Jones. It's a fascinating read with a few images of Jones' art.

ICYMI My interview with @jordilafebre.bsky.social for @comicsjournal.bsky.social . Talking creativity, breaking into comics, his extreme distaste for AI, and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation

Nice write-up on the first Fanta volume of the new Corto Maltese series. Fable of Venice isn't one of my fave Corto stories... but OK Corto is better than about 99% everything else.
