Aiming for 40 furlongs today.

Doing a bit of hill work today. I can tell I'm not as fit pre Critical Care but I'm getting there.
Sun's out, smiles out!
Caught red-handed… guilty of crimes against pessimism.
Sentence: life with intent, no parole.
The Comeback Tour winds its way through the Peak District and it is glorious!
A litter-pick in the Peak District today: 100 dog poo bags collected along Froggatt, Curbar and White Edge. Bagging it isn’t enough - take it home. Most “biodegradable” bags aren’t. They can persist for months, harm wildlife, and spread bacteria like Neospora to livestock.
Busy morning: litter pick, mown the grass at the local church, planted 7 trees and walked Hetty at the nature reserve. Definitely resting this pm.
On home turf today. Two litter picks done and now I yield to necessary rest - not as surrender, but as strategy. Immunotherapy fatigue is real.
Being nil by mouth really messes with your head. I've not eaten or drunk anything for 6 months now. It doesn't mean I have to be nil by smile though!
I'm now sat in Pharmacy having just had my 74th immunotherapy 'spa' treatment and before that another photobiomodulation session so a busy afternoon!
A visit to Liverpool today, our second home!
Two hospital appointments today.
But first - fresh air, steady steps, and a bit of headspace. Thank you for backing me on GoFundMe. If you can share my story, I’d be grateful. It all helps!

Fresh air, open road, and the quiet satisfaction of putting one foot in front of the other. This is my Comeback Tour, countryside edition and 18,000 steps clocked so that means my lungs are working again!!! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Comeback Tour: powered by fresh air, flowing water… and a stubborn refusal to stay down.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you 😊
This is cracking advice Sir and should be widely shared 🙂
A feel-good time of the year guaranteed. Something in this season is on your side.
Bath was an important first step on my Comeback Tour and it's great to be doing things again! Back on the road again in a few weeks!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Our 21st wedding anniversary today!
No filters or AI, this is me jumping for joy at Stonehenge today on my comeback tour! From Critical Care to standing among 5,000 years of history. It's not a jump, it's a declaration.
It's been a grand day. Feeding hasn't been easy but I've managed - this is our first time away since Critical Care and Bath is a great place to kick-start the comeback tour.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A classic emblem of UK culture is the red telphone box designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1924. This one has been repurposed as a vertical garden and flower box!
RIG feeding totally dominates my day demanding planning, preparation, patience, and persistence. It’s turned life upside down but the work goes on.
There’s an art and a science to blending food for a feeding tube, and I’m learning all the time. Part laboratory, part workshop and all DIY - ratios, textures, timings, temperatures, tolerance. Nearly six months nil by mouth now, I won’t pretend it’s fine, because it isn’t and I hate it.
Despair knocks you down. Respair gets you moving.
Despair is the hit. Respair is the recovery.
Despair sits heavy. Respair lifts quietly.
Despair is the setback. Respair is the comeback.
Despair is the mess. Respair is the clean-up.
Don't despair, respair!
Our gorgeous girl is back from university and we are thrilled!
Yet another hospital visit!
