Screenshot showing how to adjust phone settings to turn off the permissions for Instagram to access your device location. For Android: go to settings, then apps, instagram, permissions, location, and click "Don't Allow". For Apple, go to settings, then privacy & security, Location Services, Instagram, and set it to 'Never'.
‼️PSA‼️Just turning off the Map feature in the app on Instagram isn't enough!!! There are reports that it can turn itself back on, so a way to stop it for sure is MAKE SURE Instagram does NOT have permission to access location in the app settings!!!
