I really appreciate it! I'll keep chugging along - should have an updated demo soon™️ with some new music and tutorial, then hoping to button up the project this year.

Hey, thank you so much for working through those bugs with me! That was amazingly helpful. And thank you for the nomination! (Curious, did you submit any feedback? We haven't seen any sort of word from IGF regarding judging so I was just wondering :P)

The game is absolutely lacking pithy sandwiches - and rat poison.

Though, the Dunderbeck art is at least somewhat representative of the game - that Megaman cover? Woof.

5/5 gross is pretty accurate! ♥️

Settings menus really are the worst - it's like an entirely different UI puzzle from any other kind of interface. I always find myself writing maybe more tools to get through it than I need - just in case!

Epic art showing the titular character, Dunderbeck, punching a Unicorn - teeth go flying. Behind this action there are several other supporting characters and monsters rushing to join the fray.

On the topic of new store assets, @alexbpart.bsky.social has been hard at work making character and monster art for @dunderbeckgame.com, and we now get to show off this amazing new banner art!

Oh! And minor note - we're in NextFest - give us a wishlist and a comment! 💖🌭

There we go! Updated with library assets and devlog assets.

Oh shoot! This doesn't have the library assets for Steam - I'll get those in later 😅 - so imagine that there is also a Library Hero graphic there, too.

It's not much, but I hope it saves someone a few minutes! :)

A screenshot of an Adobe Illustrator workspace displaying a template for PC game storefront assets. The dark gray canvas features seven blank white artboards of various sizes and aspect ratios, organized into two rows and labeled for bulk export. The top row includes five Steam-specific templates: Header Capsule, Main Capsule, Small Capsule, Vertical Capsule, and Background; the bottom row contains two templates labeled ItchIO_Cover and ItchIO_Banner. The Artboards panel on the left side of the screen displays the names and sequence of seven assets.

I find myself hunting for my Steam/Itch.io Illustrator template once a month - so I’m sharing it! If you're a #IndieDev also trapped in the world of Adobe looking to export all your store assets in bulk, grab it here: drive.google.com/file/d/1AnEG...

Going through old @dunderbeckgame.com media, and I found this - quick proof of concept for hands/mouth graphics (using my own mouth/hands)

The family made "ugly" sweatshirts for the holidays - here's my submission:

Makes sense! Start with the finger foods, and then who doesn't love the cherry tomato style burst of a good eyeball, haha - I love it! Also, I feel like there is some play on "eyes bigger than your stomach" here, somewhere.

So, if you had to write up a guide on how to eat one of these, what bit of it would be the tastiest? Is it the eyes or the finger legs?

Oh, no thank you. I couldn't possibly.

It tastes like human mouth in here!

It felt like a real coherent ad in the dream - they had a pretty good marketing team I guess.

I had a dream where I was watching a commercial for spit. The slogan was "Every time you swallow Spit, you're enjoying human broth."

I think I've been working on this mouth game too long.

I mean, or hate them. We can guarantee that there are no middle of the road feelings here 😅 - but I've absolutely adored all of these gross goobers that Alex has created.

How is it? Would be cool to have an alternative for my yearly bulk purchase of mistakes - er, I mean Buldak ramen

If you haven't yet, switch to Blender.

Taking another stab at "cheesy" - and also, "flaming hot" - because sometimes you just want a flaming hot human torso. Or a flaming hot pile of puke.

@dunderbeckgame.com is there for you in those moments.

A hot dog? In this economy?! I divided all money by 10 - because a hot dog should probably not cost $3. Not that I can afford another at $0.30, either...

Just imagining everything "cheesy" absolutely coated in Cheetos dust. Who says gamers can't also be sword swallowers?

Item variants previously used only different sprites. The new system uses particles and tone mapping for a consistent, expandable visual language, as shown here with the "cheesy" variant.

Discussing Dunderbeck After Dark. The saucy, unreleased, unannounced (oops), purely fictional DLC for the equally unreleased game, @dunderbeckgame.com.

Bwahahaha maybe second favorite item in the store lol. I have one of those and a full size one in my house and they are appropriately hidden away from the eyes of any and all people and deities.
