First tick of the year. Found behind my right knee before engorging, thankfully. 🤮
A woman wearing a bike helmet on a purple bike on a path beside grass.
If you see a clumsy woman riding a mountain bike along cemetery trails, it might be me. 😅 Thanks for the beautiful green space, peaceful dead.
I love that!
As long as you have a cozy beverage of choice!
A steaming cup of black chai.
Chai makes me happy.
😊
A black mirror in a black wooden frame under a folded black cloth. All on a witch-themed tablecloth beside a vial of oil.
I attended a scrying class today at @_the_silver_cauldron in Watertown. It was really insightful and fun! Here’s a photo of the scrying mirror I made before I finished decorating, blessing, and locking it. This shop is such a great hub of learning and kindred spirits. #Pagan
In related news, I practiced belly dance with some of the ladies from our developing troop while our instructor was home recovering. I also submitted a grove organizer survey to revive my Druid group. Make it so!
A shrine featuring Buddha built into an old hearth at a yoga studio.
I blogged a little about how, if you want a spiritual or secular group to exist, you have to prioritize it. You have to put in the work whether you organize, assist, or simply show up to support.
So beautiful!
🙌
Omg amazing. 👏
Seeing our beautiful planet from their craft as they approach re-entry! 😭
Who else is watching NASA and cheering for Integrity and Artemis II?
“Spring is here” sign with snow on top.
Tulip leaves poking out of the snow.
Spring is here but Mother Earth played a belated April Fools prank on us. 😆 (Decided to laugh instead of complain because we have a ton of other huge things to complain about. Like how about this war that needs to end now without any more crimes against humanity!)
Wait…he’s openly threatening genocide? 😬😭😡
Sometimes I still feel like I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. Can I just ride the People Mover or Living with the Land for an extended period of time?

Oof. This observation about texting vs calling and using our voice to comfort is so true of many kinds of grief. I can’t tell you how much the calls and physical time together with friends has meant in my hardest moments.

My Druid group is slowly reviving. We gathered to celebrate spring today, and it was lovely to have that spiritual fellowship. #Druidry.
I heard the spring peepers! (I also saw a mosquito. lol)
Back of a girl in a team uniform with curly auburn hair. She walks under an awning, but the sky is blue. A big white building with a round cupola is in the distance.
It’s a beautiful day to dance! Very proud of my daughter for her beautiful solo. (Also proud of how my her hair turned out!)
Sunshine through a forest of pine trees in the snow.
A bluebird sky, sun, and a forest path with loved ones. I needed this. #Adirondacks
I go back to it each year as nature whispers her cozy spell of autumn and winter. The tale is familiar and comforting. I’m nearly to the end, right with Sam and Frodo.
I tend to start in the autumn, around Bilbo and Frodo’s birthday, and continue through the winter. I seldom read only one book at a time, so I partake in other titles, but there’s something very comforting about LotR.
The Lord of the Rings opened to the chapter “Mount Doom.”
Happy Tolkien Reading Day! 📚
It’s become a tradition of mine to read some or all of The Lord of the Rings each year. #TolkienReadingDay
It’s a good day to make pancakes. 🥞
