Hi! I’ve just released a new absolutely epic sound effects library: “Eagle Owls Ultrasonic Plus”, the first dedicated eagle-owls library in the world.
A comprehensive collection of Eurasian Eagle-Owls’ vocalisations and other characteristic sound effects. Soft tiny sighs, squeaks and whines, piercing aggressive screeches and yelps, very specific female vibrato trilling, harsh territorial female hoots, smooth bassy male courtship hoots. Eating: tearing flesh and crashing bones, rhythmic beak clicks, belches. Panting breath. Even a very difficult to witness and record courtship duet of male hoots and female screeches. Recorded mostly in EXTREME CLOSE UP (10-50cm) with Nevaton MC59 and Sanken CO-100K microphones simultaneously for full coverage from deep bass to rich ultrasonic content. A mix of these two microphones is provided for your convenience.
Edited, mixed and mastered to allow you confidently speed or pitch down to quarter-speed to make huge monsters and speed up for piercing little predators or cute gentle creatures. 44 generous takes represent complete owl phrases. Hundreds of individual sounds are marked and named as WAVE and Radium regions. Vocals of these largest owl species feature very peculiar modulations and contain lots of high and ultrasonic frequencies, so when slowed down they make wonderful dinosaurs, dragons and other fantastic creatures and monsters.
Available at my larxaudio web site. Launch discount 20% for 2 weeks till April 30. Personal loyalty coupon codes add to this discount. Enjoy the sounds!

Hi coleagues! I’m very excited to present my new SFX library “Northern Europe Vol. 3 Lakeside Wildlife Early Spring”! https://larxaudio.com/ne03/
While continuing the series of my wild nature sound collections, it is quite different. Choosing from dozens of hours of recorded material, I focused specifically on wildlife, especially bird sounds and minimal presence of weather phenomena (less wind, no rain). The project that started as an expedition for wild nature ambiences eventually evolved into something much more interesting. This time the locations were already familiar and I had time for thorough scouting, so I was lucky to record not only ambiences, but quite closeup water bird sounds. Actually, I fell in love with wading birds while working on this collection. So, enjoy wildlife celebrating the end of winter, the season of courtship songs and lekking displays. From echoing sparse Teal, Green Sandpiper, various duck and gull calls in a frosty night's silence to smooth distant songbirds in the afternoon, gentle pleading calls of Tundra Swans and dense dawn choruses of thrushes, wading birds, woodpeckers drumming and Black Grouse cooing across the lakes. Common Snipe, Common Greenshank and Green Sandpiper close up flybys with calls and songs. Beaver moans and gnawing. Sweeping Goldeneye landing on water and takeoff.
Traditionally, the library is on a 20% launch sale till March 11 2026, your personal loyalty coupon codes add to this discount. Please visit my store for the details, listen to the long audio demo and buy the library if you like it!

How many Green Sandpipers do you hear? Better listen in Stereo. IMHO it’s ear candy. And BTW these are courtship songs! 💞
Nevaton MC59C pair in ORTF. My new sound library is coming very soon.

Also I love a similar thought by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."

Yesterday there was a question on another forum about what blimp fits a pair of Nevaton MC59C cardioid mics with S type amplifiers in ORTF configuration. I'll post my answer with photos here, too. I used Rycote WS-3 blimp with a custom 3D-printed holder by Andrey Khudiakov.

Looking back at 2025 I can say it was a difficult but good year. I’ve released 4 new substantial sound effects libraries, continuing my mission of providing unique, expressive, beautiful and really useful sounds for film and game sound designers and editors.
“Wooden Dam” and “Water Mill” - a detailed sound portrait of a historical mill hidden deep in the land of forests and lakes, and two Ultrasonic Plus series animal libraries – “Horror Wolf” and “Nick the Fox”. The libraries already became popular among sound designers, were used in big films and games and got great reviews.
I want to thank God, my wife and kids for love and patience, all my friends and customers who supported my work during this difficult time for the sound industry!
Could I have done more – sure. Mastering my Northern Europe Spring ambiences took longer than I planned and I’ll be releasing them in January of the upcoming year. Maybe this way it’s even better. Stay in contact! I wish you a great New Year!!!

Hi colleagues! Yesterday I've discovered that sounds from my "Wolves" sound effects library were used and credited in the film "Paraflu" (2025) by Michela de Mattei & Invernomuto. I've got this kind testimonial from Sound Designer Lorenzo Dal Ri: "For a long time I wanted to write you and let you know about the featured sounds on that project, because your sound recordist work has been essential for the film work itself. We always get busy and forget about this important message to send :))) Love your work!". The film is dedicated to reintroduction of wolves in Northern Italy. I'm so glad that my work helped release a film about nature conservation and protecting wild animals!

Recently I received a great testimonial from sound designer Joe Griffin regarding our two sound effects libraries both released in 2025! Here's the quote: "The Wooden Dam library and the Horror Wolf library are both helping me out tremendously on my current project. I'm doing a stage production of the voyage of the cargo ship Demeter from Chapter 7 of "Dracula". Dracula turns into a wolf at the end, so the Horror Wolf is getting lots of use. So much great variety in that library. You got some wonderfully expressive wolves. And of course the water movement in the Wooden Dam library is giving me lots of cool textures for onboard the ship, especially during storm sequences where there's water sloshing about everywhere. In short, there's no way my design would have been as cool without your effects. Thanks!"
Thank you so much, Joe, for your kind words and for choosing our libraries!
