The Constitution is clear: Congress decides on war. When a president uses military force without authorization and Congress stays silent, they are abandoning their role as a co equal branch of government. War is the most serious power our government has. Shame on the U.S. Senate today.

The only thing Trump and Republicans can offer farmers is more and more government welfare to hang onto their votes, because every one of their policies hurts their ability to conduct business in a market environment. This is especially true of family-owned farms.

They cut Meals on Wheels for seniors, doctors for the VA, and food for American children - but send billions of taxpayer dollars to the Middle East for an unnecessary war of choice.
