Feel very fortunate I work in a job where I get to teach the importance of Giovanni Trapattoni’s 1998 Bayern tirade. Always a joy to watch.
Masia involvement in all but one of their goals too (unless winning corners counts). Must be nice to have an incredible production line help when things get tough.
Barça are a lot of things and one of them is permanent entertainment.
FWIW, I think Liam Rosenior is a good coach, positive, strong ideas. Nowhere near as bad as made out, especially considering the circumstances of his arrival, but feels as though he’s skipped a step in the ladder.
Didn’t think Thomas Tuchel’s departure would have such a huge impact on Chelsea but it feels almost Ferguson-like, which is a testament to his impact in such a short time. Entirely different circumstances but effects so similar.
Felt it was a bad look on the Champions League that five of the eight last 16 ties were effectively decided at the first leg so it’s nice of Bodo/Glimt to ensure that isn’t the case.
He’s flamboyant, controversial, bold and widely popular, and given what he took over, he deserves to hold the role for another five years. Football decisions can be iffy but Laporta does that political aspect of this excellently.
