The content addiction angle is valid. The outsider view of gooning? Packed with ignorance and bias. Disappointing but not without value.

It appears that Harper’s Magazine has resorted to stoking moral panic in a last ditch attempt to salvage their steady decline. I sincerely hope that fails hard but modern readers do love the discovery of new sources of outrage so maybe they’ll get some traction with this “gooning” demonization.
