Ivanchuk may be my favorite player of all time. His wit, his candor, his talent...just seems like a really cool guy. The only other player that I would want to hang out with more would be Miguel Najdorf on account of how he rebuilt his life w/ chess, after losing everything in WWII.

I'll be chanting the refrain from Gukesh's national anthem to myself from now on before every tournament. "Go! Go, Guki, Go!": youtu.be/SGVkBLrj8S0?...

When are you going to start a #chespunks YouTube Channel or a regular Twitch stream?

The sing-song, natural conversational tone of GM David Howell and IM Jovanka Houska's commentary on the World Chess Championship is a breath of fresh air. Think of them as Phil Liggett & others as Joe Buck www.youtube.com/live/QmJpzxy... and their post-game video recordings are spoiler free, too!

Dear #Chesspunks and anyone watching the World Champion #Chess match...How can I see a recording of Round 1 AFTER I get home from work when the round would have already finished, without spoiling it from video titles?

Ah! I see! I will be VERY curious to hear how the camera technology works, then. I love my classic, heavy pieces, too, and am on the brink of embedding the sensors to them that one can purchase from Chessnut. It would be labor intensive, for sure, but worth it to play with those hefty beauties!

The Chessnut e-boards are fantastic. I use them to play all my online rapid & classical games.
Little LED lights in the squares show you where your opponent moves so you don't ever have to look at a digital device. Your moves are detected via sensors & sent via Bluetooth: youtu.be/WPvqZLCmHWE?...

For me, chess puzzles are a "safe" way to strengthen my ability to think creatively in a low-risk way by solving problems similar to what I may run into over the board. I love doing them!

Here to co-celebrate in the joy, commiserate the frustration & all the while marvel at the beauty & complexity of the not-so-simple game of chess
