Like in a sense the manga is very Furude Erika! And it’s like man wasn’t that like part of the whole issue there??? She refers to herself as an “intellectual rapist” and the manga sort of structurally engages in her exact practice!

Yeah… this is what I was talking about before it’s like interesting but frustrating and I think the VN has a lot more… grace? Which also feels very much more attuned to the themes of the work.

Yeah they usually call it Bloodhaven IIRC which was why we noticed it
I thought it was cute that they point out Chris never told them about the dimensional door because it was just normal to him so he didn’t notice. I’m sure that wasn’t about anything else this ep either!
In the first episode we were watching and were like “… Blüdhafen huh”
and then I literally was like “someone is gonna be like you didn’t notice that everybody was white? to him and he’s gonna be like huh???” 💀💀💀
it's also like the horniest the game has ever been I feel like besides the game's visual design like the only other characters to get vibes even remotely in this area are the popstar princess / manager knight whose fans literally ship them together. I'm gonna study every hugo/lycaon interaction now
the way even phaethon is like wow you two are close is like... omg

My grandfather and my grandmother at my mother’s college graduation.
My grandpa passed away this morning at 89. His hand was still warm when I came to see him, and then it was cold. I miss him so much.
The cover for Panzer Dragoon for Sega Saturn with a colourful smh exotic depiction of the dragon and rider flying past biomechanical creatures and a strange cocoons and buildings.
Good morning! 👋 With greets this morning: gorgeous visual flair and evocative imagery with the Japanese cover for Panzer Dragoon by French artist Mœbius. 💜
Gosh yeah this right here. I've seen it happen live to friends and it truly sucks.
I understand the fear of losing clients, but the frustration is not worth it. Value your yourself, your time, and your work! The rest will come after.

Congratulations and thank you for hosting! Here are some artwork that may or may not contain both good and evil in one 😆
Single player game, it might be a little different because people want to experience a different kind of “authenticity” from it. Or something!
And that over time when it starts “refining” or “optimizing” for a specific experience, that sense of discovery and emergent behavior wears off and there’s an idea that the experience is captured and “back under control” and I think that’s the deal behind this sort of impression. When you play a—
I think it does! I think at the same time there’s like a combination of factors informing this perspective, like the idea that you’re getting something raw and authentic and emergent from when a multiplayer game first launches and they don’t know the culture of play yet, because it feels organic—
Caves of Qud is all about ethical choices that matter. For example, I just saw a pair of tortoises beating a dog to death and my first instinct was to intervene, but then I reconsidered, as my high reputation with tortoises is not something I want to risk

A mushroom-humanoid in a short vest, draped in ropes with garlic bulbs attached, a spice bandolier and other cooking utensils feeds their doglike sporehound parts of their own body carved with a cooking knife. Splashed to the background is a representation of the ttrpg The Wildsea character sheet.
When I came home from Breakout Con last year, I illustrated The Wildsea TTRPG character I played: Soba, and their sporehound Truffle.
I grew up practicing cartoon art, an approach still dear to me. I live for detailing, but I love what simple shapes and economic line art do for form and function.
And it’s always followed by like “Aren’t you glad that we fixed it?” And it’s like no! That’s what I liked about it! I feel like there’s a deeper thought here about like “institutional capture” that I’m just not reaching but it’s so bizarre that entertainment leadership approach things like that.
It’s so puzzling to me how in entertainment you’ll have things that are wildly successful for reasons people identify publicly and it always feels like the next step for producer or executive level people involved is to go “How do we fix the thing everyone liked about it?” I don’t get it!
Totally! I like getting redlines, to me it feels like it means the developer is really engaging with my work and has a lot to say about it. I always found it alarming when there were only a few. Never felt like a win, just a sign that a developer was either failing to notice or didn’t care.
Hi folks who followed. I didn’t talk a lot on the other place because things got weird and I got nervous but I’ll try to share more on here.
