Please resist allowing your advocacy to be limited to leaving out books. Support the actual institutions and the people working there so we can in turn support our communities.

Someone on twitter mentioned they were looking to get involved in library advocacy, and I was disheartened by how many people mentioned little free libraries. These are cute & fun, but that is not how you support public libraries, which offer resources & access to information LFL do not.

Just a reminder to support your local public libraries! Write letters of support. Use the library often & in many different ways. Show up to meetings.

Library staff have been begging for help, advocacy, and action for years. Please show up for libraries.
